You will discover unique flavors of cooking while learning about our traditional ways of life. As part of this class, you will also visit local spice market to see more spices and pick the ingredients you will use for the class. Once the food is ready, we will gather and enjoy the food we made together.

What To Expect

After arriving to spice farm, we will give you a walking tour of the farm. After that we will start our cooking lesson with different local food live spice rice coconut sauce. You will be giving instructions and you will get to enjoy the food you made in the end.

We made (really we just prepped the ingredients) an amazing variety of dishes. Everything was made on the cook’s front porch, with an interpreter explaining everything. Who knew there were 11 types of bananas?! We toured the spice farm (interesting to see, smell, taste) the plants and trees. Then we ate together. Everything was delicious!
100% recommend!

We had a really good time! The cooking class was perfect, we enjoyed cooking in the traditional way with local women. It was definitely worth the money. To see how all the spices grow was really interesting. Sultan is a great guide.

The spice tour and cooking class are both an amazing experience and made for a great day. The tour guides involved are extremely knowledgeable and all around incredible people to get to know. Can’t recommend this enough!!

It s was very good! I love the local food and people :) I really recommand it !! It was a great day and evening We went to the spices farme to visit than we cooked with the locals and eat it °Stone town tour °Prison island °Night market at stone town :).
