The Golden Gate
Emperor Diocletian entered the main palace gates for the first time when he retired and never looked back, see for yourself what made him stay. Overlooking the gates, the statue of Croatian bishop Grgur offers good luck to all passengers.
The Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace
Peristyle is the geographical and spiritual center of the Palace. This square is one of the closest links of a modern man with the ancient heritage and it leaves a monumental impression to this day. 5.00We recently took an evening walking tour with Luka, which included a delightful stroll up to Marjan Hill. Luka’s passion for his hometown truly shone through as he shared fascinating insights and hidden gems that weren’t covered on our previous day’s tour. The walk up the hill was not strenuous and the panoramic views from the top were absolutely breathtaking. This tour is a perfect way to explore the city from a different perspective, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to dive deeper into the history and beauty of the area at night.

5.00Avoid the crowds and enjoy the perfect overview of Split. The Palace at night is magical, and it's the perfect tour if you have just arrived in Split and want to beat jet lag. We were lucky to have Bosko Papic as our guide. He is a Split native, knowledgable, AND charming! Besides answering our questions about the history of Split, the Palace, and Croatia, he gave us excellent restaurant tips and insight into life in Split. This tour was the highlight of our visit to Split.

Really recommend doing this sort of tour early into your stay as it helps to bring the city to life and helps with wayfinding. We were extra lucky to be the only people booked on which was a bonus

5.00We met our tour guide Lucas by the big statue outside the Old Town, there were 3 of us on the tour, so it was like a private tour group. Our guide Lucas was so very knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about imparting his knowledge of his home town and the history of Split’s Old Town. He is passionate about history (and qualified), and made our tour truly interesting. The Old Town is fascinating and like a labyrinth (very different to Dubrovnik’s Old Town), it’s easy - and fun - to get lost! An excellent introduction to the old Town and its incredible history, highly recommended. Also, a night tour is much more, preferable than a day tour in the heat & humidity!!

5.00Our favourite part of the travel was the guide which provided us with such sophisticated knowledge that made tour the tour around Split very fascinating. We felt privileged to be accompanied by such a person. Besides, we not only learned a lot but also had a great time and some fun as the guide had a wonderful sense of humour.

5.00We went througt the history of the palads, Split and Croatia. Pavlov was a great storyteller and very Kind. We lovede that the tour ended at a café where we all could talk together ond ask more questions. It was just perfekt!!!

5.00I booked an evening walking tour with Pavle, and it was amazing! You really need it for appreciate split centre at its best! A lot of history and fun facts. Cool guy and very passionate about his job! And there was also a drink at the end! Definitely recommended!
