What To Expect
The Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace
We’ll start our day with walking tour of Diocletian’s Palace, where I’ll show you how the palace looked 1,700 years ago. Then we’ll enter the cellars to see how it was built. Next, we’ll walk through the southern part where the Emperor lived, visit the Vestibul (the grand welcome hall), and see the Peristyle, the palace’s main square. We’ll also visit all four gates and stop by the statue of Grgur Ninski, Split’s good luck charm. Finally, we’ll wander through the narrow Kala alleys, which will lead us back to our car for the next destination.
Historic City of Trogir
After Klis Fortress, we’ll continue to Trogir, a beautiful historic town on a small island connected by bridges. We’ll walk through its narrow stone streets, see medieval city walls, and visit the main square with the impressive Cathedral of St. Lawrence. You’ll hear about Trogir’s Greek, Roman, and Venetian history, and have time for lunch and to enjoy the waterfront promenade before heading back to Split.

5.00This was a fantastic day trip And a great introduction to our first experience in this enchanted coastal town. Our guide Henry was extremely knowledgeable and organized the tour in such a way that the history and the culture of the Croatian people seemed to come alive as we walked through the old city. My wife and I are not inexperienced when it comes to tapping into the resources of local tours and we expect excellent service and information. This tour far exceeded our expectations. The reason for this was the enthusiasm and passion of our guide. Henry clearly was proud of this country and his people. - His enthusiasm was contagious..

5.00Best time we had on our vacation! Henry was such a great guide and made all the stories he told flow effortlessly into each other. Diocletian’s Palace alone was worth it, the view of Split from Klis was spectacular, and Trogir at nightfall, with all the Christmas decorations, left us speechless 🥳
Excellent service from Henry who provided detailed local history information and also helped with local information .

5.00This was our favorite tour while vacationing in Croatia. We absolutely enjoyed the time and tour with Henry. Being a native, he was well versed in the culture and history of the region. His passion and ability to take history and put it into a story was captivating.

A day before the tour Henry (our guide) texted us to say hello which we appreciated. The tour itself was conducted perfectly and we saw so much for the price we paid. Excellent service for a lot less than the competitors. Highly recommend!!

5.00We started our tour in Split. Henry showed us Diocletian's palace. What a wonderful structure hidden in plane sight. After that we drove up the mountain to enjoy the stunning view from Klis. We ended our trip with Trogir. Small but packed with history and beautiful buildings. Since it was october it was not crowded. Amazing guide, great value for money and the best half day tour from Split!! 10/10

5.00Wonderful experience, great way to spend a day without traveling too much. Split and Klis were not crowded, Trogir a little bit due to cruise ships. Our guide was excellent with a great sense of humor. My favorite part was Peristil in Split (Diocletian's palace) Highly recommend to do this tour!

5.00After booking this trip I spoke to Htvoje and told him I was a Game of thrones fan. He made slight adjustments to the tour and showed us all the filming locations ( cellars included). Split, Klis and Trogir. Hard to pick a favorite. Perfect tour!

5.00Everything was top notch! The communication from Lotus Travel was excellent, and Diocletian's Palace completely blew us away! The view from Klis 🤩 Trogir’s charming narrow streets and old houses felt like stepping into a time machine. The minivan was perfect and luxurious. Our guide was the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommended!
