Whilst Pidurangala appears larger than Sigiriya; its upper surface is steeply sloped and is of solid rock. For this reason it was not suitable for large-scale building activity. We had an amazing experience with Hellow Travel, where Dhanuka had organised a fantastic itinerary that covered all the must-see spots in Sri Lanka—many of which I hadn't yet explored. It was a nice mix of relaxation, adventure and sight-seeing activities. Our tour guide, Kasun, was outstanding—extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and always happy to answer our questions. His experience was evident throughout the trip, and he was incredibly helpful with practical tips, such as tipping advice, activity recommendations, and restaurant suggestions. It was truly a pleasure traveling with an expert who knew the ins and outs of every location we visited. Highly recommend Kasun as a tour guide and the whole tour for anyone looking to explore Sri Lanka in depth!

First visit to Sri Lanka and first ever trip using a personal tour guide! A little background, I’m 57 and fortunately have travelled the world, but always spent umpteen hours, if not days, initially researching the best places to go, then searching endlessly for best the things to do, hotels and restaurants in each area + car hire etc! For this holiday I decided to leave it all to a travel company (Hellow Travel) to sort all this and honestly cannot believe how fantastic it all was, zero stress or anxiety, everything single thing to the minutest detail had all been arranged. What I loved even more and mentioned this on numerous occasions was an excellent trip or booking was made even more extra special with that added attention to detail. Sri Lankan dance show, best reserved seats in the house! Safari, huge queue of trucks, we just drove past them all with a VIP pass! Restaurants, best tables! Hotels, room upgrades and best rooms! 9 bridges, we didn’t just stand there with all the tourists to watch, no, we walked down a little path for even better views, exactly the same with the waterfalls, not just standing at the tourist platform to view, we went down a little path again to the foot of the waterfalls for the best views! Train journey, best window seats! Clean car inside and out every morning, with fresh bottles of water in the back! Dhanuka honestly could not of done anymore and everything ran like clock work, even at the tooth relic which only opens for 15 minutes and chaotic, we made it to the viewing area with 5 minutes to spare! A true gentleman, funny, attentive, a great source of knowledge and an all round great young man. Normally I’d trawling through endless emails and a wad of paperwork planning the next day and things to do! Dhanuka personally has given me a life changing experience and I will without doubt now let local travel companies take away all the stress and anxiety which complex adventure holidays can bring. We will without doubt return to Sri Lankan which is a wonderfully friendly country, very diverse with its landscapes and scenery, amazing food, but it’s the people that make it so special. Couple of things I’d suggest to help other travellers is purchase all your Sri Lankan rupees before coming and get dominations of 500’s and 1000’s as good for little tips and if you swim with the elephants, pack some trunks and a towel and make sure you wear flips flops when coming out, as I slipped and fell down the stairs on the wet tiles! Again Dhanuka came to the rescue stopping at a Doctors and a pharmacy, getting me pain killers and even applying the balm each day to my back! Thanks for everything Dhanuka. Gary Jones

Dhanuka was patient, knowledgeable, consist and flexible. He is a kind soul and we couldn’t have been happier with him! This trip totally exceeded my expectations. Sri Lanka is a beautiful and peaceful country with so many different things to see and do! Our highlights were Lion Rock, Ayurvedic massage, cave temple, tea plantation and Ella train ride! We travelled to Sri Lanka from 2/1 - 15/1 and upon arrival were warmly greeted by our tour guide, Dhanuka. Having been recommended Hellow Travel by a friend we had high expectations and these were certainly lived up to. Following our engagement on New Year’s Eve, Dhanuka provided exceptional service both directly and by being the liaison with other locals and staff members as when needed. We travelled all over Sri Lanka with Dhanuka and his local knowledge and expertise is second to none. Without his personable approach and help in guiding us around Sri Lanka our experience would have been all together different, several times during the trip we recognised this and mentioned to Dhanuka. We travelled from Colombo, to Sigriya, to Kandy, to Ella, Yala and then down south before returning to Colombo. Dhanuka was attentive and thoughtful throughout, with personal touches not going amiss. For example, each hotel being personally decorated to celebrate our engagement, fresh water in the car daily and adhoc stop offs for necessities. Our experience has certainly been one to remember and we must thank Dhanuka for his sense of humour, kind heartedness, attentiveness and expertise in the tourism sector (and keeping an eye on my beer intake!). I would highly recommend Dhanuka and hellow travel to anyone who wishes to see all aspects of Sri Lanka in a safe and trusted environment. Dhanuka thank you for your time, we have enjoyed getting to know you, your knowledge and have a laugh together!
