WOW! Where do I start?! What a company to trust in and to deliver you the most perfect trip during your time in Sri Lanka. In October to celebrate my 40th birthday my husband surprised me with this amazing trip for us both and our 9 year old son. After the long journey from the UK we arrived in Columbo and stayed in a hotel overnight. The following morning we were picked up by our tour guide ‘Dhanuka’ where we began our 7 day tour around the central province of the country. If I am completely honest we were pretty sceptical having booked direct with Hellow travel, rather than a company such as Trailfinders, Travelbag etc back in the UK. Also a little apprehensive about spending the next 7 long days with a complete stranger in our company. I would say this was probably something out of our comfort zone and especially having our 9 year old boy with us. But rest assured we were put at ease from the get go. And what a treat we had in store. We definitely hit the jack pot. Dhanuka – What a wonderful human being! Such a genuine, trustworthy, kind, happy, no stress, friendly guy – with a great sense of humour and so lovely with our son. Together as a family we have experienced and learnt so much in Sri Lanka, but a huge thank you goes to Hellow travel and Dhanuka for ensuring we had the best experience. They go above and beyond and deliver an outstanding service. I could sing their praises all day long! Dhanuka knows the country like the back of his hand, doesn’t require a sat nav (which still blows my mind), extremely knowledgeable, takes you to the best places & restaurants and clearly loves his job in showing you around his breathtaking country. He is very proud of it and so he should be. I feel we are so lucky to ever come across Hellow travel and blessed with the best tour guide driver in the whole of Sri Lanka 🥇‘Blessings’ Dhauka’s famous words. We had so many blessings throughout our trip ❤️ The people, nature, culture, food & drink, the sights… Sri Lanka is amazing. Book it you won’t be disappointed. But be sure to book your trip with Hellow Travel. We are so thankful of our experience. We have been home 2 weeks and still buzzing from it all. So sad it’s over but we have memories that will last a life time. We would also like to say a big thank you to Dhanuka’s wife Pavithra. She does a lot behind the scene, planning and organising, contacting you on the run up and also goes out of her way to ensure everything is perfect. We have gained a special friend in Dhanuka and we will be forever grateful of our time with him. It’s definitely not a goodbye it’s a we will see you again soon. Sri Lanka has a piece of our heart 🫶🏼 Lots of love and ‘blessings’ From the Bebbs ❤️

A special shout-out to Dhanuka, our guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and always made sure we were comfortable. He shared local culture, food tips, and hidden spots that truly made the trip unforgettable. Traveling with him felt safe, fun, and very personal — like exploring Sri Lanka with a friend. I highly recommend Hellow Travel, and if you can, ask for Dhanuka — he’s the best! 🇱🇰✨

Wow !! We wanted to do something special for our 50th wedding anniversary and boy was this it!! Sri Lanka really is a wonderful place to visit. There was a genuine “ nothing is too much trouble” feel from the outset All arrangements were by Pavithra.. she couldn’t possibly have been more helpful .. sending an in-depth itinerary proposal with descriptions and pictures of each activity on offer, which we whittled down and added to until we were happy with our nine day guided tour itinerary with beach stays before and after totalling a 16 day trip .. all hotel costs were included in the booking On arrival, our new friend and Guide Dhanuka was an instant hit .. extremely knowledgeable familiar with every inch of the islands history with friends and contacts at each stop reducing wait times and picking the best spots ., and best of all we enjoyed his company and wicked sense of humour Overall comments ., Faultless !!

We had a fantastic visit to beautiful Sri Lanka. During the planning stages our guide Dhanuka was so helpful and answered all my questions. We arrived at the airport late at night to be welcomed by Dhanuka with beautiful flower necklaces. For the next week Dhanuka kept us safe as we toured the country. We tried things we never would have otherwise…water buffalo curd (it was delicious) and asked him a thousand questions. On our last day he gave us each a personalized framed photo collage which was so well done…it will help us cherish our trip. Looking forward to coming back.

Dhanuka was such an amazing tour guide, he made our trip so memorable! He was great at spotting the animals on the safari and we got to see leopards, elephants and more! He took us to lion rock and the dambulla temples and knew so much information and all the answers to our questions! The hotels booked were lovely and he stopped along the way for us to try the king coconut along the road. When he dropped us off in Columbo he took us around on a tour and took us to the markets and food spots for us to get dinner before dropping us at the hotel! We had such an amazing trip! Thankyou Dhanuka!!
