Pick up from the hotel at 05.20 mornings, transfer to Dhaka Railway Station. Depart for Srimangal at 6.20 AM on Parabat Express. Arrive at Srimangal around 11.00 AM We will check-in hotel and take refreshment. After lunch, go for a rewarding wildlife trekking through the Lawachara National Park. We’ll take the 03 hours trail for the maximum opportunity to see wildlife, especially the Hollock Gibbons, for which this forest is famous. Come back to the hotel and take our dinar. Overnight at Srimangal Tea Heaven Resort or Equivalent Hotel that are available.

We walk through the trails inside tea gardens, and visit some pineapple gardens and lemon orchards. Also show you the tea deposit activities in a tea garden before sunset (if available) when female workers gather to deposit their tea leaves which they collected during the whole day, which is photogenic. Visit a colony of tea workers if time permits.
Madhabpur Lake
Madhabpur Lake is a scenic freshwater lake located in the Madhabpur Tea Estate of Moulvibazar district, Bangladesh. Surrounded by lush green hills and tea gardens, the lake is known for its tranquil beauty and diverse flora and fauna. It is a popular destination for nature lovers and bird watchers, especially during the winter when migratory birds visit the area. The lake’s calm waters and picturesque surroundings make it an ideal spot for relaxation and photography.

5.00Shahadat was a brilliant organiser and guide. Our overnight trip to Sreemangal was well worth the investment. We had a wide variety of experiences including tea plantations and wildlife and really enjoyed our beautifully peaceful eco accommodation. In addition to the above excursion, Shahadat arranged daily itineraries for me on additional days. Experiences which included sites in Dhaka City, Panam City, visits to home-based textile workers and a wonderful private boat trip on the amazing local rivers. Each experience was rich and Shahadat's organisation and knowledge was superb throughout. He really worked hard to ensure that I had the best possible experience of Bangladesh in just 5 days. Thank you Shahadat! And a special thank you to your drivers who so skillfully managed the craziness of Bangla traffic!

4.00We wanted to see more than just Dhaka on our brief visit to Bangladesh and this fitted the bill. Sahadat took us to lots of fascinating places and we had an amazing time. Be prepared for the journey however! By car it is long (6-7 hours each way) bumpy and through pretty confrontational traffic - fortunately we had a great driver. Train, our initial first choice but not available on the date required, might have been a smoother alternative.

5.00The tour to Sreemangal was fantastic! Even the train ride there was a great experience. Seeing local life, the tea gardens, and the national park was fascinating and perfect for anyone who wants to explore more of Bangladesh beyond Dhaka. Shahadat, my guide, shared many insights about the country and its people and patiently answered all my questions. As a foreign visitor, I felt very comfortable and well taken care of throughout the tour. What really made the experience special were the local people — everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I can highly recommend this tour to anyone who has a bit more time and wants a deeper impression of Bangladesh.

5.00Super tour and incredibly good guide. Have seen many tea plantations, a beautiful lake and some animals in the national park in the two days. Our guide took perfect care of everything and provided us with information and local dishes. High praise

5.00Srimangal is beautiful - the perfect place to unwind, get into nature, and see the village and rural way of life. Shahadat was a great tour guide - he took care of everything and made the whole experience very easy. We took the train, which was a great experience in itself - even with delays on the return journey, I still recommend this option - it’s very relaxing to escape the traffic. The hotel we stayed at was great - lovely gardens and very peaceful. Once there, we got around on a Tuk Tuk, and Shahadat took care of all meals - the food was excellent. We visited the rain forest and saw gibbons and baboons, saw lots of tea plantations and had the opportunity to buy tea, we took a nice walk around a lake, and took a boat out into the wetlands. It was a fantastic trip and I highly recommend!

5.00The trip was very interesting. Our tour guide Shahadat was very nice + the driver too. The only scary thing is to drive on the highway.. definitely it's the "kamikaze" choice of transport. Next time, we may choose to travel by train for another experience. The rainforest & tea plantations are like "almost magical "reiki" relaxation areas. Very hard work for the collector of the tea.
