There’s no better way to learn about the history and culture of a community than to eat its food. On our Newfoundland Food Tour, you will walk and eat your way through downtown St. John’s. Newfoundland and Labrador has one of the most unique food cultures in Canada. Long known for seafood, wild game, and delicious traditional meals, the province has a long list of mouth-watering ingredients and recipes. From a CFA finding success selling beloved Newfoundland pastry to a haunted pub that inspired a TV set to a former fruit stand literally built on the ashes of the Great Fire, we’ll explore the people, stories, and food that make the city unique.
Come hungry! If you arrive gut-foundered, by the time we finish our walk, you’ll be stogged. And yes...we'll teach you what those local terms mean. ;)
PLEASE NOTE: this tour is in St. John's, Newfoundland NOT Saint John, New Brunswick.

The walking tour had just the right amount of participants (11) to make it friendly but not overcrowded. There was a good balance between walking and stopping to sample! Our guide was very friendly, knowledgable and easygoing and it was lovely to spend time with a real Newfoundlander and hear about this very interesting place 😊. I would definitely go again and it was the right decision not to eat in advance!!

Fantastic event with a wonderful, warm and engaging host. I always love to start a trip with a food tour and, while the cuisine might not be up there with Rome or Shanghai, the history and culture was second-to-none. I was quoting 'the lady that led my food tour' left-right-and-centre for the rest of my week!!

Great mix of food, folklore and history. Pierre was personable and shared his love of ‘the rock’. Also learned about where to get screeched in and where live music was playing.

It was the best food tour we've ever taken. So much amazing food and all the local history to go with it. It was almost like we got 2 tours in one! Well worth the money, definitely a highlight of our trip!
