As an adventure-seeker you will simply love this ride that takes you on the Sky Explorer with the landscape unfolding below to the top of St. Maarten’s highest mountain. Then you’ll go flying back down on the world’s steepest zip line.

Embark the Sky Explorer for the approximately 25-minute ride to the top of Sentry Hill, St. Maarten’s highest elevation at 1,125 feet. A series of platforms encircle the mountaintop showcasing 360-degree views of the whole island including vistas of neighboring islands!

A brief orientation will get you ready you to fly down the mountain at speeds of up to 56 miles per hour on the world’s steepest zip line, The Flying Dutchman. You’ll be attached to a flight line in a secure harnessed chair, launching you on the 1050-foot drop in elevation over 2800 feet to experience the ride of a lifetime!

Experience this unique adventure with the Sky Explorer and the one and only Flying Dutchman to see the best views of the Caribbean. You won't regret it!

The day we booked through Viator was for February 15th, which is a Sunday and they are closed. The next day we went back and it was a 3 hour wait!

The actual ride is just 45 seconds. The chairlift up was very nice as well as the zip line. It’s hot on the chairlift. Bring water. Wear sunscreen

This was our big adventure day from Carnival, and it didn’t disappoint. The ride up on the Sky Explorer already made it feel special, and then the Flying Dutchman was just crazy in the best way. Ryan joked with everyone while we waited, which helped calm the nerves. We still had time to walk around Philipsburg after.

Booked this while cruising with MSC, and it was exactly the kind of thrill we wanted. The views, the chairlift, and then flying down the mountain all made it feel like a real adventure. Sarah and the rest of the crew kept things running smoothly. Everyone came off smiling.
