If you love history, gardens and rum this is definitely a tour to take. The property is gorgeous especially the view from Cherry Hill. Great tour. I would recommend to others.

St. Nicholas Abbey was a true delight. The owner Simon was fun and very interactive with guests. A good time for the whole family!

Train ride was brilliant & the conductor & engineer were great fun, even photographed us blowing the train whistle. The Abbey tour was so overcrowded that we couldn’t hear much of what was said. We didn’t get to look or photograph the outside of the building / gardens as our driver found us in the gift shop & we were loaded up on the minibus before the other members of the group were located. It all felt a bit rushed; we left the Abbey 1&3/4hours after our scheduled tour time & we were back at the hotel 3 hours after being collected, an hour short of the anticipated timescale.

Sun Tours picked us up at the Cruise port. We left late after they waited 15 minutes for another group that did not show. Then drove to pick up from 2 other locations. We arrived at St. Nicholas Abbey over an hour an a half later, missing the train listed in the tour description, "You'll ride a heritage steam railway to Cherry Tree Hill, where you can experience the locomotive's turntable and enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic coastline." We did not experience the turntable. This experience was the sole reason we picked this tour. The rum tasting portions were minuscule. Our friendly Sun Tour guide, Dionne, pointed out different parishes and sites on the drive. Sun Tours did not deliver the experience advertised.

Short train ride and very little time to explore. High priced for what you get. Did learn a lot of the history of the area.

Driver picked us up at the hotel and gave us a 2.5 hr tour of the island before we boarded the steam train. Great ride we encouraged to get in the engine and blow the whistle while they videotaped with our phone. The mansion and distillery tour were good.

Great Tour! But be aware that the Tour (in our case with only 6 guests) was in a small Van on partly bumpy roads. In our case as we needed to carry guest from another place, which was great ti see more during the drive, it lastet 6 hours! :-) Nice driver and beautifull places! Delicious Drinks and snacks can be bought at the Train Station.

The itinerary was supposed to include a scenic drive and visit to a sugar mill. We saw neither. There was no communication regarding timings during the tour and the driver told us there was no time to do these things after spending too long at the Abbey. We had not been informed of any timings.
