Our garden studio is located in the quiet and idyllic village of Rottingdean, Brighton.
It's a rare opportunity to be able to create a stained glass piece and design of our own choice, something that we will want to hang up at home after our workshop together. Even if you consider yourself 'not creative or artistic', we'll make something wonderful!

We have flexibility on days/times for our workshops; daytime, evenings, weekends and full day sessions so do get in touch.

What To Expect
Half Day Taster stained glass workshop where you can create your own small copper foiled stained glass creation or unique sun-catcher which you can take home with you at the end of the day. No experience required Prior to the workshop we will work together to design your glass piece so your pattern is ready to be brought to life on the day, leaving more time for creativity! If you're booking last minute we have a selection of patterns to choose from on the day Finish times for all workshops are flexible to ensure your creation is complete on the day, so do allow for a little additional time if required

5.00I bought this half day taster as a birthday gift for my fiance, as I knew she was keen to experience stained glass creation. When we arrived we were given a warm welcome by Ruth who showed us to her well appointed studio. After an introduction and a hot drink Ruth offered us multiple templates to create our own piece. Once we started we were both truly committed to our design and loved the whole process. The workshop was so much fun and Ruth is so patient, accomplished and very talented. She made you feel very special and the whole afternoon made for a memorable experience!

5.00Had a wonderful afternoon with a friend at the Blue Skies glass studio learning how to make stained glass. We chose a sunset design and Ruth explained clearly how it works and was so friendly and helpful throughout. We overran a bit but it was no trouble, we weren't rushed at all. We both thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and will definitely be back again. I highly recommend these workshops if you want to try something a bit different. So much fun and we were both so chuffed with the final results!

5.00Bought the taster experience as a Christmas present for my Dad, and paid for myself to join him. We both had an amazing morning and thoroughly enjoyed ever part of it. Ruth was so welcoming and explained every part of the process, making sure we were comfortable with what we were doing. Ruth has created a calm but fun environment and we were so pleased with our creations. Parking was great and we made a day of it by walking across Beacon hill into Rottingdean for lunch (only 20min walk from the studio). Would highly recommend this experience!

5.00Always having been fascinated by stained glass I couldn’t believe my luck when I saw this opportunity in Rottingdean on a family trip away. We had such a fun afternoon, it was a joy to be creative together and the workshop was led beautifully by Ruth. She is genuinely an amazing teacher. We were seamlessly guided through every process and all absolutely chuffed with our glass works when we left. It’s a magical experience and amazing value for money. All I can say is do it!

5.00Having never done anything like this before I was a little apprehensive heading in and I’m not usually confident at the best of times but Ruth was welcoming from the off and made me feel comfortable straight away. She had already worked on some designs following an email conversation we had had and I was very happy with what she had created for me. She showed me the tools and the different glass options and we got to work. She was attentive but allowed me to explore the process myself and was helpful when I needed it. I cannot recommend this experience enough. I had a great morning and came away with a piece of art that I’m so proud to say I made. Thanks Ruth, it was great to meet you.
