Join us on a 90 minute guided tour of this Lincolnshire gem. We will deliver an entertaining and informative narration of the architecture, characters and legends of one of the finest stone towns in England. Stamford has preserved a multitude of Georgian buildings built on a medieval base with Tudor and Victorian interludes. The town has a vibrant history, much of which is still visible in the 600 listed buildings and monuments.
We are “The Mayor’s Guides”. Starting at the Town Hall, our tour of this ancient town will bring alive the story of Stamford with tales of Georgian elegance, dubious politics, tragic romance and much more! Afterwards, perhaps you can enjoy the many pubs, restaurants or independent shops that make Stamford such a great place to visit.

Nicola met us on the steps of the Stamford Town Hall dressed in Pink, with a big smile and a joke which imediadely put us at ease. We had a very personal tour as only us two were booked on. Nicola was certain to ask what we were particularly interested in and had an open friendly way about her. She was clearly spoken and had good knowledge of the history of the towns buildings and took us to some lovely places we wouldnt have seen on our own ie The Alms houses. We enjoyed our tour very much. Thanks Nicola

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our 90 minute walking tour of Stamford today with Kiffy who was friendly and informative. Having lived near Stamford for over forty years I saw it with new eyes today and intend to visit more often. Such a beautiful town and with so much history, thanks Kiffy.

We were fortunate to book for a Sunday morning and had Nicola all to ourselves. She was delightful, hugely informative and gave us a fascinating introduction to a gem of a town.

My wife and I went on a town tour this morning with guide ‘Kiffy’. A fascinating walk around the town with all sorts of insights from the extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic Kiffy. We thought we knew Stamford quite well, but have now had a new education. A mixture of factual history, interesting architecture and charming, amusing anecdotes from over the centuries. Make sure to ask for Kiffy.
