Discover the beauty of stand up paddling on the flat Elbe river in combination with a relaxing return by a foot bike (scooter) along the Elbe Cycle Route. Get out to discover the unbelievable landscape of Bohemian Switzerland. You´ll enjoy 10 km of relaxing paddling, where you can practise your balance. If you prefer relaxing on the water, sit down on a board and just steer.
You´ll spend half a tour on the water and half a tour scooter ride along the river. The Elbe cycling trail follows the river without any hills, so even children will enjoy the trip.The river is calm without any weirs and therefore suitable for beginners.
Behind Děčín begins the Bohemian Switzerland National Park with the deepest sandstone canyon in Europe. During the paddle tour, you will enjoy views of rock walls and towers of various shapes and shores full of herons.
We take care of the transport of the boards and scooters so you can enjoy your hassle free day.

What To Expect
You will start at the Děčín Camp, where you’ll be given a stand-up paddleboard, a paddle, and a dry bag, and a short briefing will take place. You will learn to control the paddleboard on the calm Elbe River. Then it's time to outbound straight away through the majestic Elbe canyon with views of the surrounding sandstone rock walls. The current will enjoyably carry you for 2 hours to Dolní Žleb. The ending point is the ferry at the right river bank in Dolní Žleb. We will exchange the paddleboard for a scooter or bike and other equipment here. The ferry will take you to the other side of the river - the popular Elbe Cycle Route on the left river bank first and then it’s time to get on the way back to the town of Děčín along the river for 10 kilometers. Don't forget the 30 CZK in cash/per person (including the bike)! The ferry is not available from 12 pm - 1 pm. The bikes need to be returned by 6 pm at the Kemp Decin reception. We charge 300 CZK for late returns.

5.00We hired bikes and went on a SUP tour run by Active Point last week July 2024). The bikes were great (standard adult bikes) as were the paddle boards. Mostly though the staff in the shop were very helpful and friendly. When hiring the bikes they provided us with lots of local information, including recommendations of a couple of fantastic swim spots (swimming in the Elbe is not recommended). They were also flexible about bike pick up and drop offs. For the SUP instructions were clear for the meeting points and again, staff super helpful and friendly, with a great lunch spot recommendation. We had a problem involving our hire car and keys and the shop owner, Martin, went out of his way to help us out of a sticky spot (thank you again!). So, all in all, clear efficient website for booking and lovely friendly helpful staff with lots of local knowledge. Fully recommend!
