We really are fortunate here; the River Avon is a slow, winding, dreamy escape of a river that meanders away from roads, towns and the noise of civilization into a quiet wilderness full of creatures large and small. I regularly see deer swimming in the river during the Summer and Red Kites are starting to shadow us as we paddle along too!

This is more than just your average 'learn to SUP' session, this is a complete experience giving you the skills to escape into nature safely on a paddleboard so you can explore these natural spaces from the unique perspective of walking on water! WAY more than just a SUP adventure this comprehensive beginner's paddle lesson and SUP safari experience is all about skills, safety, confidence and tranquillity!

What To Expect

Awarded "Experience of The Year" at the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards 22/23!! Ready for some SUP therapy? Learn to stand-up paddleboard (SUP) and enjoy a SUP safari on the beautiful River Avon with Wittering SUP; an award winning ASI accredited SUP school. Perfect for absolute beginners, you'll learn how to stand-up paddleboard followed by a peaceful tour of the beautiful river Avon to enjoy the tranquillity and local wildlife. Every ticket sold makes a contribution to the Kemerton Conservation Trust which helps take care of the beautiful wildlife here. With ASI qualified SUP Technical Coaches (and all gear provided), you will learn everything you need to start your paddleboarding adventure; how to kneel and ultimately stand on a board, correct paddle-stroke and turning techniques as well as safety and equipment knowledge before we head off on our adventure! Ideal for couples, families or friend groups from age 12+ so long as you can swim at least 50m. This a very accessible water sport and you don't need any experience to join in. All paddlers get a 10% discount from our friends at Revil's Farm Shop and Cafe; hot drinks and delicious lunches onsite - Yum!

Was given this as a gift - but would happily have paid for it. There were just 2 of us on a beautiful Monday morning and we were taken out by Alex who proved to be a great coach and good supporter. Scenery was beautiful and we also met a group of escaped terrapins. Would highly recommend this. My wife also did a bit of paddle-board yoga with Alex which she really enjoyed.

Spent this summer taking groups of Sea Cadets (aged 10-18) on the water with Wittering SUP. As well as learning to SUP, they've had a fantastic time and all want to come again! The instructors are very professional and are brilliant with our young people!

Myself and partner had a wonderful morning river safari with Alex. She gave us great instruction and advice on all things sup like boards, good routes to try and even tips for paddling with our daughter. She is so lovely and friendly and put us both completely at ease. The stretch of river we went on is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, I can’t wait to go out again!

We did the River Safari learning to SUP - and had a simply fabulous time. We learnt so much, really developed a confidence on the board through great teaching of the techniques, as well as lots of extra tips. It felt really safe, flexible to the needs of individuals, fun and challenging. Highly recommend this - and having the extra hour on the safari, meant we had time to consolidate our learning and see more of the amazing River Avon.

Excellent! Alex was amazing and patient. Great tuition, and it felt really safe. The location was beautiful. Toilets and shower also available at site. Definitely recommend.

I was bought this as a gift and turned up fully expecting to hate paddleboarding. Cold water, wobbly board, public humiliation… the usual. Instead, I had a great time in an absolutely stunning and peaceful location. Alex and James were so welcoming and patient, I’d (willingly) do it again. A dangerously enjoyable experience — I’ve even recommended it to friends.

This was our third time, and once again, it was an amazing experience! Alex and James are incredibly positive and encouraging — they create such a supportive and uplifting atmosphere. Their knowledge is outstanding, and they have a real gift for teaching in a way that’s easy to understand and apply. We always leave feeling inspired and more confident. Highly recommend!

A really beautifully run paddleboard course. Really clear instruction, top rate tuition and equipment. James and Alex were so welcoming and encouraging and to paddleboard on such a beautiful stretch of river was such a treat.

We'd wanted to get started with Paddleboarding for ages so it was great to have a chance to try it out with qualified instructor Alex on the river Avon. The 2.5 hour introductory session was perfect to get educated on shore first, then board our boards for a lengthy paddle upstream. Alex is a fantastic teacher her expertise helping us to progress to feeling confident on the water. Alex also took some great photos we now have, to cherish that lovely Sunday morning along the river, taking in the glorious views and peaceful atmosphere. Thank you for providing this fantastic service.
