Riyadh

After approximately one hour’s drive from the city of Riyadh, we arrive at an area with sandstone hills where we start our hike, exploring a trail that offers glimpses of the past when people used to rely on groundwater and build fences with rocks to protect their livestock. Depending on the season we may meet and have the chance to speak to some Bedouin camel herders. Before sunset, we enjoy dinner around a bonfire, which offers an opportunity to hear some of the Saudi stories before we start our gazing into the sky to marvel at the constellations. We provide historical insights about the region and traditions of tribal society before we return to Riyadh.
