Stargazing Zion is pleased to host you, family, and friends for an entertaining evening of stargazing and astronomy on a field adjacent to the newly dedicated International Dark Sky Park, Zion National Park. Starting with a brief 10-minute walk to our dark sky location, our guides will then familiarize you with the night sky as astronomical twilight begins to set. Each guest lounges in their own Yogibo. These pods conform to your body, eliminating pressure points to make it comfortable and easy to view the star-filled sky. Each guest also has a pair of Celestron Outland X Binoculars to view the sky from their Yogibo. Our astronomy guides will present a 2-hour program that includes state-of-the-art telescopes and laser pointers to guide you around the constellations and objects of the night sky. We also provide guests an up-close view of celestial objects (galaxies, nebulae, clusters) through our powerful telescopes. Hot beverages are provided as well, such as hot chocolate, coffee and tea. For specific directions to the site, please provide an email address in the message center.

A terrific experience! The skies cleared just in time for stargazing, which seemed doubtful earlier in the evening, but the providers use weather apps to have an accurate picture of what will happen. The guides knew all about what they were teaching and explained well. I could’ve laid there all night, taking in the stars. The site was beautiful and was a bonus since we arrived at sunset. The drive back was curvy and very dark, so if that bothers you, it might not be the best choice. The telescopes were very impressive, but I was just happy to be under dark skies. The beverage station was a thoughtful and nice touch. Blankets and bean bags were also nice to have though the bean bags had a mildew-y smell that was tough to tolerate (I’m very smell sensitive. This was the only drawback). The time passed quickly—too quickly—I wanted to spend more hours gazing but seemed to be the perfect time for everyone else, who left right away. Super cool to offer a photographer so that we could just be present and enjoy the experience.

We had a group of 9 go to this tour. It was very well layed out, the tour guides were very knowledgeable (that is saying something we had 2 big star guys with us) they answered all of thier questions. It was so comfortable. They provide lay down bean bags, blankets, binoculars, hot coco, tea and coffee. This tour cost more than other tours but it is worth every penny. It was the highlight of our trip.

Guides were very knowledgeable with the stars and were very helpful in explaining everything. It was so nice to be able to see the stars clearly with the binoculars and with the telescopes!

from the start to finish - beyond our expectations! the experience was well thought of, story telling about planets in the beginning, the showing of the stars, constellations and the story in between. The sharing of pictures at the end were very nice touch.

The experience was pretty good overall. The tour was easy to find in terms of location. The communication from the team was pretty good in terms of sending text messages and reminders. The tour started at the right time ended at the right time. The facilities and the set up was great as well - with bean bags , tea, blankets, coffee, hot chocolate, etc. The staff was very friendly. Everything was very well planned and thought out. A lot depends on the timing of the year and what you can or cannot see in the sky. Nothing that you can control really. I would do it again if I ever happen to be in Zion area again

Awesome experience. Guides were so knowledgable and informative. So much information that I had no clue on previously and the views were spectacular. Highly recommend this experience.

We had the best time and really was a highlight of our trip to Utah. The skies were perfect. We did plan perfect with a new moon and got lucky enough that there were NO clouds. Matt had so much knowledge and answered a variety of questions from the group. I loved being out there with those stars. Thank you also to come back and get the photos as part of the package. We really appreciated our time. Matt and Nickelle will ensure you have a great time. Thank you from Minnesota!

Matt & Justice(or Justin?) were great guides. Matt was very knowledgeable, friendly and flexible dealing with the unexpected cloud cover. He made it a lot of fun! Justice was very friendly and did a great job taking our pics.

The tour was mind blowing! Adam, our tour guide gave a great talk about stars, planets & galaxies that ( non astrologers) could understand. A huge feat considering the vastness of the universe & the fact that there are still so many unknowns. An experience I will never forget!
