I did 2 rides on 1 day in june at this ranch and it was incredible. My host syrym(who speaks very good english by the way!) was fantastic. He picked me up from my hotel in astana at 9am and we headed to the ranch which was about a 30-40 minute drive. Once we arrived he fed me and the other riders breakfast. He then showed me around their ranch and all their horses, which seem like theyre very well cared for. We then got ready to head out on our morning ride. I told him i had very little prior experince horse riding and he made sure to keep that in mind. I felt completely safe the whole day, not just because of syrym himself but also because of his 2 assistants he had with him. They may be young but i could tell they had quite a bit of horse riding experience as well. After the first ride we came back to the house and we were fed lunch which was delicious and we then took an afternoon nap and relaxed before going on our afternoon ride. The afternoon ride was even better than the morning ride. It was an ansolutley incredible experience riding through the rolling hills of the beautiful kazkakh steppe at sunset where we eventually stopped to look over the river at the bottom of a cliff. When we got back from our afternoon ride, we stepped into the sauna and relaxed before having dinner. That dinner was one of the best of my life. It was myself, the 2 french men who were also on the tour, and syrym and his mom. For over an hour that dinner was non-stop laughter and good times. At the end of the night syryms mom who also speaks very good english and is very hospitable, drove me back to my hotel in astana. If i ever come back to astana and want to do more horse riding it will definitley be with syrym!

I spent 4 days at Alima’s Ranch and her son Syrym. I regret one thing: I didn't contact them earlier to spend more time with them and their horses. The quality of the welcome is such that at home we feel at home, we are part of the family. Syrym is particularly attentive, he does everything to make the stay at the ranch unforgettable, happy, smiling. The stove too! Ah ah! Meals, including breakfast, are delicious and... panagraulic! We eat like ogres! Horses are, as they say in the riding world, “all-hazards insurance”; calm for beginners, without unpleasant surprises, and capable of superb gallops for the most experienced. I had come to the steppe landscapes... I was able to live my dream... and much more, and much better... by now having the feeling of having a second family in Kazakhstan. Among the most: -With no extra charge, they picked me up in Astana, and also drove me to the airport at 2:30 in the morning. -the sauna to relax in the evening is really cool! -always attentive and attentive regarding our desires. It’s a big favorite for this ranch, this family, the cook... and the young guide.
