4.00My wife and I and my 88 year old father in law thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide Katarina was knowledgeable and entertaining. We were able to see and experience the major spots in Stockholm and learned much about the history of the Swedes. The Vasa Museum is a must see and we were allotted a good amount of time to see and experience the museum. Katerina added context to the exhibit. The only reason we give this 4 stars is at the end we went to old town and the plan was to have time to visit and shop in old town and then go to the castle to watch the changing of the guard. We were given a quick overview of old town and the she escorted the group through several narrow and steep walkways to the castle. (Note: the route was not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or heart conditions!) Katerina gave us a different route to take which was an easy walk and we meet then there. We assumed that she would take us around the Royal area and provide some more info but instead, e were told that we had an hour + of free time before the changing of the guard ceremony. Problem was that there were no shops or services anywhere near the castle! It was a 20-30 minute walk back to old town where the stores and bakeries and shops were. So some of the younger folks hurried down the hill to old town to try and get some food and drink and trinkets and we were left alone to wait for the ceremony. Had we known, we would have stayed in old town, had a coffee and a cinnamon roll at the oldest bakery in Stockholm, and enjoyed the city while waiting. Overall it was a good experience and I would highly recommend the tour!!
