What To Expect
Hotorgshallen
Founded in 1884, Hotorgshallen is the oldest food market in Sweden. It used to have a strong peasant character at the end of 19th century. It was divided into two sections: -Meat, fish ,veggies and flowers, -Milk and hay The hay did remain until 1856 , then moved to Norrmalmstorg . The historic market square dating back to the 13th century ,originally established as a hay market! The square received its name in 1672 ( 17th century).
Stockholm City Hall
The highlight of the tour is a visit to the city Hall ( Stadshuset) venue of the annual Nobel Prize Banquet ) where we enjoy a guided tour of the red brick structure. The fortress-like building is known for its tower topped with 3 golden crowns ( the emblem of Sweden).
