Avoid the crowds and witness the dawn of a lifetime. This intimate small-group tour (max 10 guests) takes you through the secluded East Gate (the "back gate"), allowing you to walk the ancient forest paths in silence before the sun rises. We depart between 4:30 and 5:00 AM to ensure we are perfectly positioned as the golden light hits the iconic towers.

After the sunrise, enjoy your hotel breakfast box at a quiet local spot nearby. Our adventure continues to the jungle-clad ruins of Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider temple), followed by a grand entry into the ancient city of Angkor Thom through the Victory Gate. You’ll explore the enigmatic faces of Bayon, the Baphuon, and the historic Terraces before a comfortable transfer back to your hotel.

My partner and I really enjoyed our tour with Thom. Communication was very easy, we were picked up early for the sunrise at Angkor Wat and taken through the back rather than the front so that we could see more and experience less crowds. We found all the temples to be very interesting with lots of culture and stories behind them. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about all the temples which we really enjoyed. He definitely made our trip to Angkor Wat an ever better experience. His English is also very good, he is great at taking photos, and is a very friendly and funny man. We recommend him 100%! 🤩 Thank you Thom!
