From its summit, you will witness an incomparable panorama: the majestic basin of Lake Atitlan guarded by its three volcanic guardians: San Pedro Volcano, Atitlan Volcano and Tolimán Volcano. On clear days, the show spreads even further, allowing you to see in the distance the imposing Volcano of Fire, Volcano Acatenango and Volcano of Water, located near La Antigua Guatemala.

Very punctual! Pretty easy short hike to the top of Indian nose! Thought it was so sweet they had hot cocoa or coffee for everyone. The tour guide was informative and made sure to take enough breaks. He was on the top of making sure we were all together (it gets crowded going up) Got to spend, what I thought, more than enough time at the top. Wish the clouds weren’t so active but that’s nothing they can control. When they did pick us up from San Marcos they were right on time. Pick up from San Marcos is the basketball court- not your hotel. My ticket pickup was wrong and I’m glad I reached out.

I had a lovely time with this hike. It was quick and simple and our guide took great care to make sure everyone in our group was comfortable. I would do this again.

We had a great time on this hike! Everything was really well organized from the start. We received clear instructions ahead of time about what to bring, where to meet, and the start time, which made the early morning a lot easier. Pick-up was at 4:15 a.m., followed by about a 30-minute bus ride to the trailhead. Headlamps were also provided, which was really helpful since we started hiking in the dark. From there, the hike to the top took about 40 minutes and felt very manageable. Our guide, Jef, was friendly, informative, and really helpful throughout the hike. He made sure everyone stayed safe, gave us breaks when needed, and kept a steady pace so the whole group could make it to the top comfortably. He also briefed us on Mayan History around the lake. At the summit, we were treated to warm bread and hot chocolate, which was the perfect reward after the climb. The view was amazing and definitely made the 3:00 a.m. alarm worth it. Overall, it was a really fun experience and I’d definitely recommend it! Thank you, Jef!!! ✨

The hike is fairly easy although it is very steep towards the end. Note: response time for confirmation of pick-up location is ~11/12 hours. Pick-up location can be modified for a fee of $10 per person. Pick-up and drop off mode of transport also varies from boat/van/tuk-tuk. After the logistics are out the way it’s a great experience.

The activity and experience was as good as advertised. Our guide Jefry was very polite and made the hike all the better. Coffee served at the top was a bonus

Short story: Terrible communication, no actual guide, larger group than advertised. Better off going on your own or with someone cheaper because you all end up going to the same place with the same snacks. Long story: We had to send 2 emails, a text, and contact Viator to try and get a pick up time. It wasn’t until 8:30pm the night before we were told we were being picked up at 4am. We were told they couldn’t pick us up at our accommodation and wanted us to meet down the street. There were lots of street dogs barking at us and our driver was 25 mins late, he was not the tour representative we’d spoke to and didn’t speak any English (just kept telling us to get in the car). Once we got there our “guide” didn’t tell us anything and only spoke in Spanish. We would have to specifically ask her to translate points in English for us. She then added other travellers from other groups to ours (making it a much larger group) and then would walk off without us. Everyone gets to the same point on the mountain, they have a big seating area all the tours share and give you all the same food and drinks. Tbh I would just go by yourself and wait for a group to walk up and follow them. Or just go with someone cheaper - you don’t get what you pay for.

We had a wonderful experience on this hike! The team picked us up right on time from our hotel and made everything easy from the start. One of our friends struggled with some of the steeper sections, but a guide stayed with our group, patiently pacing the hike and encouraging us along the way so we could complete it comfortably. The view at the top was absolutely spectacular, and we truly wouldn’t have made it without the support and kindness of this tour group and guide. Thank you so much for making it such a memorable adventure!

This was a short, sweet, and mildly challenging hike. Dressing in layers is essential as the trail starts off very cold due to the early start time, warms up significantly once your heart rate rises, and then becomes extremely windy and chilly again at the lookout. Jeff and our driver did arrive on time and got us safely to the hike and back, which was appreciated. The only real downside was the timing. The 3:50 am pickup felt unnecessarily early, as we reached the top first and ended up waiting over an hour for sunrise, spending nearly two hours total at the summit. Since groups arrive in waves, the promised coffee and tea weren’t served until everyone made it up, and although snacks were supposed to be included, none were provided. The sunrise itself was lovely, but choosing your spot early makes a big difference as the area fills up quickly, and getting a clean photo without people in the frame becomes tricky. The hike is mostly stairs on the way up, so it’s worth keeping fitness levels in mind when preparing. Overall, it’s a memorable experience with great views!

The Indian Nose hike was incredible. The sunrise views were breathtaking, truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Plus you still have the whole day ahead of you after.
