Massimo was wonderful- explained each step, he was very encouraging, and he took pride in his (and our) cooking! He learned everything he knew from his Nonno. :)

This was our first activity after arriving in Rome, and was it ever a great way to start out our trip! The cooking school classroom was clean and lovely, and our "instructor" Carla made it fun for us 2 grandparents, our daughter, and our 11-year-old granddaughter. There was Italian music playing in the background, which set a festive tone for the class. She let our granddaughter do most of the gelato making (it turned out delicious!). We each got to make our own pasta noodles, and all contributed by preparing different ingredients for the marinara sauce. We were treated to bruschetta appetizers, and then got to eat our pasta creation, followed by strawberry gelato, and everything was accompanied by red and white wine (Orange Fanta for the child). It was a full dinner meal! As we look back over our 2 week trip, and many different tours, the Pasta and Gelato cooking class was one of our favorite activities! I highly recommend it, especially for families or groups of friends.
