What To Expect

Reykjavik

Our modified Super Jeep will pick you up from your accommodation in Reykjavik.And we will enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive to the F-road, taking in the breathtaking landscapes along the way.

After our two hour driving we will arrive at the begining of the F-road. We will visit * Nauthúsagil Waterfall: We will hike to the impressive Nauthúsagil waterfall, capture memorable photos, and immerse yourself in the natural beauty. * Gígjökull Glacier: Enjoy the panoramic view of Gígjökull glacier, taking the time to appreciate the unique surroundings. *Stakkholtsgjá canyon: Embark on an easy hike to explore a mesmerizing canyon, its insides, and the enchanting streams. *Relaxation and Snacks: Head back to the Super Jeep, relax, and indulge in Icelandic snacks. Sip a cup of coffee to rejuvenate for the remainder of the journey. *River Crossings: At the whole trip on the F-road we will be crossing rivers, adding an extra touch of excitement to the adventure.

The most memorable day in Iceland! Evangelos had a great energy and took my family (included 2 teens) to places we could not and would not have seen otherwise. We ventured into streams in the jeep and on foot and hiked in to see some beautiful waterfalls and scenery. He had everything we needed and was flexible and pivoted the day based on our interests. Highly recommend!!

Our family had an amazing experience in Thorsmork all thanks to Evan our guide. He took us to incredible locations, was personable, patient, and made us feel right at home. This tour was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Iceland and is honestly on our list of “must sees”. Evan will tailor this trip to your preferences and this guided tour was worth every penny.

Our family of four (two adults, a teen, and preteen) went on this tour and had a wonderful time. We had all been looking forward to the Super Jeep and it did not disappoint. Not just because of all of the beautiful scenery, but especially because of our guide, Evangelos. He was such a cheerful and experienced guide through some occasionally stormy weather (he even rescued two separate cars out of two separate rivers while we were on our tour!). He even brought delicious baked goods for our mid-afternoon stop. We had a lot of fun, got to explore areas we never would have discovered on our own, and have memories to last a lifetime. This tour with Hyperborea will be my recommendation to anyone I know planning a trip to Iceland in the future!

My parents, husband, and I took this super jeep tour of Thorsmork and we absolutely loved it! We were staying in Vik, so it was especially helpful to be able to arrange for pickup in Hvolsvollur instead of Reykjavik. Our tour guide was waiting for us at the pickup location when we arrived. The super jeep was big enough to fit all of us comfortably, and with our tour guide at the wheel we traveled the F-roads and crossed rivers without any worries. One person in our group has a tendency to get motion sickness on rough drives, but he sat in the front passenger seat and didn’t have any problems even when the road got a bit bumpy. Evangelos was our tour guide for this trip, and he was incredibly kind and considerate. He took us to some excellent sites and gave us plenty of time to explore, and at no time did any of us feel rushed. We were a group of mixed physical ability, and Evangelos enabled all of us to customize our participation in the hikes to fit our comfort levels. He was knowledgeable about the sites we visited, and provided snacks and beverages during our stop at the base camp. Overall, this tour was a great value and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a private tour of Thorsmork.
