5.00Took the risk of booking a non-cruise excursion and so glad we did. Much cheaper. No more than 8 people in the group. Brand new minibus. Great young guide (Jita) who was very knowledgeable. Saw the sights. Had a really nice lunch in a very clean restaurant.

5.00We were met at the port and proceeded to the minivan a few hundred metres away. It was somewhat cramped but ok and a/c worked well. Guide spoke good English and was knowledgeable. It was very hot and sunblock and a hat is a must as there was some walking involved if you didn’t want a walk then you could remain in the van. It was good value for money.

5.00Even though our cruise ship offered free excursions in Surabaya we opted to take a smaller more personalized tour offered on Viator. And we had the most amazing excursion ever. Our guide Layla was fabulous. She took us to see places not usually on the tour agenda. We got to explore the spice markets and the wet market with its barrels of fresh fish. It really gave us an insight into how these people lived and thrived. I am disabled and Layla held my arm tightly through all of the spots that were difficult for me to transit. We saw markets, temples and monuments and got an experience we will never forget. Layla has an amazing depth of local knowledge snd insight.

5.00We had an absolutely brilliant day. There were only 4 of us on the tour and so we felt like we had a really intimate and more tailored experience. Our guide Chita (apologies if misspelt!) was amazing and she and the driver Gun went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We were taken to some interesting and authentic places and felt that these were places we never would have seen with a large tour group on a coach. We were back to the port in plenty of time and never felt rushed or nervous about a late return throughout the day. Would highly recommend this tour and at half the price being charged on the ship, you can't go wrong!
