We go beyond traditional surf lessons by offering a personalized experience tailored to each surfer’s skill level.
Before entering the water, we provide an in-depth demonstration covering safety, wave dynamics, and proper technique to build confidence and understanding.
Unlike standard lessons, our instructors stay by your side in the water, offering real-time feedback to accelerate progress. Whether you're a beginner catching your first wave or an advanced surfer refining your technique, lessons are adapted to your pace and goals.
After each session, we provide snacks and electrolytes to support hydration and recovery, ensuring you leave the water feeling energized. Our mission is to create a surf experience that blends expert guidance, ocean awareness, and pure stoke, helping you make the most of every wave!

What To Expect
We offers expert surf instruction for all levels, from beginners to advanced surfers. Your lesson begins with a comprehensive demonstration and essential safety briefing on the sand before heading into the water. Once in the waves, you'll receive hands-on guidance to help you catch waves and maximize your experience—whether it’s your first session or your tenth! Afterward, we’ll provide snacks and electrolytes to help you recharge and rehydrate.

5.00FoFo and Mik from Offshore Authentico are the absolute best!! My three kids took surf lessons from them in 2024 and we could not wait to see them again for our vacation in December 2025! We love Fofo’s style when teaching surfing. He helped my kids improve on the skills they learned last year while still keeping the focus on fun and safety! My kids had such a great time we actually met up with them three times in seven days to surf! This year we also decided to check out some of the other tours they offer- we chose the Beach Tour and Rodeo Tour. We cannot recommend them enough, especially the Rodeo! For the beach tour we visited three different beaches that really only the locals go to- which meant beautiful beaches without all the crowds like in Tamarindo. And the snack of fresh coconuts and watermelons after a day of swimming really hit the spot- and watching FoFo open the coconut is entertainment in and of itself! But for the most authentic experience I highly recommend the Rodeo. It was an amazing event to see authentic Costa Rican culture, eat great food, and have lots of fun- definitely a unique Costa Rican experience! FoFo and Mik are such amazing hosts and guides. Their warm and friendly nature makes them feel like old friends showing you around their town! We can’t wait to come back next year and explore more of Costa Rica with FoFo and Mik!

5.00I cannot recommend this company and Fofo enough!! Wow. Fofo's guidance was direct and efficient, with the priority on growing through as many waves as possible. We had the best time. Incredible vibes, incredible instructions, and fresh coconuts afterwards for immediate hydration. 10/10, don't miss out :)

5.00My best vacation so far!! Mik and Fofo were amazing showing me around on my first visit to Costa Rica. I experienced a lot outside of Tamarindo with them and they always made sure I was comfortable and having fun while exploring. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a different experience! Can't wait to go back! Sam C
