Instructors choose surf sites based on the current swell and tide conditions, finding the best breaks for successful learning. This a fun tour for everybody on your family. Great experiences for kids =)

What To Expect

DURATION: 2:30 minutes DESCRIPTION: This tour is for beginners who want to learn the skills needed to start surfing. DURING THE TOUR OUR GUESTS WILL LEARN: • How to paddle and take control of the surfboard • How to ride the green part of the wave • How to catch unbroken waves on their own TOUR INCLUDES: • Round-trip boat transportation (pick up at the main beach of your hotel) • Surf Guide / Coacheo • Water Bottles & Gatorade • Fruits • Boards and rash guards REQUIREMENTS: (Depending on the wave conditions) Minimum 2 persons surfing Maximum 4 guests per instructor No minimum age for this tour Kids under 15 years must be with their parents

We loved our small group surf lessons with Soma and Eduardo. They took 4 of us on a boat directly from our hotel’s beach to a beach with great beginner waves to learn (none of us had experience prior.) He taught us the basics then got us into the waves. It was a 2.5 hour experience in total, and about 1.5-2 hours of it was instruction on the beach and surfing in the water so we got a lot of practice. We were surprised to be able to find good waves in Papagayo area but this was perfect. Soma knew where to take us! And they were kind enough to get pictures of us while we surfed. A great morning adventure!

Our guides were friendly, great teachers, and we felt very well taken care of. Both instructors took care of my kids and they caught great waves their first time out. I highly recommend them!

Our instructor was so fun and so helpful! The company provided everything, the driver took photos and videos for us. If we could do it over we would have done this every day of our trip.

This was a highlight of our trip. GoSouth picked us up by boat right from the beach of our hotel and took us across the bay to the beginner surf area. They gave us fantastic instruction and safety information on the beach and then took us out into the water. Our 6 and 8 year olds both stood up on their very first try and had such a blast. Soma and Wilber were fantastic instructors and photographers, making the experience so enjoyable. Would highly recommend if you'd like to learn how to surf.

So much fun!! Eddie and Alberto were amazing. I didn’t think I’d be able to get up, but Alberto was a great teacher. Wonderful boat ride to and from the beach

Wow! My 16yo son and I did the beginner lesson. Alberto (instructor) and Wilbur (boat captain) were awesome, super friendly and picked us up by boat. Alberto was a great instructor, got us up and surfing right away,with clear instruction tailored to our ability, great teacher! Wilbur took a ton of great photos for us which is a great added bonus. The beach had perfect waves for learning (3-4ft) with a gentle slope & sandy bottom, so perfect for us novices (1-3 previous lessons over the years) and we got so many waves over the 2 hrs..could not ask for more. Highly recommend!

FIVE STARS! Alberto and Wilber were the BEST surfing instructors/guides we could have asked for. Had all 4 of us - 2 parents and 2 kids - up and surfing within 20 minutes. No one could get enough! To top it off, fresh pineapple, drinks and 100+ photos/videos they captured - really awesome day and memory. Book them!
