The Classical Gardens of Suzhou

Your local great guide and the driver will meet at your hotel in Shanghai. Enjoy a comfortable ride to Suzhou. As private tour the itinerary is fully customized around you. Typically, start the visit at one of the top four famous gardens in China-the Humble Administrator’s garden ,listed in the UNESCO World Heritage , spend quality time to explore unique Taihu rockeries, delicate pavilions, ponds , beautiful flowers, lush greens and Bonsai trees. Appreciate the charming of the traditional Chinese garden while learning the interesting history, culture, custom from your guide. If you prefer a more intimate garden, you could substitute to the other garden such as Master of Nets Garden, Lingering Garden, Lion Forest Garden etc.

This was a great way to see the history of the Shanghai area outside of the city. The historical water towns were fascinating. Our guide, Melinda was so friendly and knowledgeable and let us take as much time as we wanted when we saw shops or food vendors we wanted to explore. She made sure we had our tickets and place in line and made sure we got the best price for shopping. Our driver Charlie was very safe and punctual. If you want a break from the busy city, this is a great excursion.

First we visited Zhujiajiao Water its unique village and has alote of traditional stores. In Suzhou we have visited humble garden and learning about their culture and thought. Then go to the silk factory see how they produce the silk and lastly buy pure silk products as scarves. Hope if there is time to visit Suzhou downtown.

For us, this was the perfect way to visit Suzhou and Zhujiajiao. We rode a gondola in Zhujiajiao and explored the ancient town. Then it was on to Suzhou. We visited the Garden of the Net, had a great lunch and then strolled along canal street. Our guide Melinda was friendly and knowledgeable and made our day lots of fun. Definitely recommend this tour!

Annie made this a five star experience. Even though we saw both Suzhou and Zhujiajiao in one day, we never felt rushed. Annie was very patient with all of my picture taking. She also was very knowledgeable and gave us great information. I highly recommend this tour.

Very beautiful visit to 2 watertowns near Shanghai. Lea was helpful and engaging. It was also helpful to have a driver so the car was waiting at the end of each leg. In all, a cool day trip of unique, heritage sites off the beaten path from Shanghai.

Our driver and Lea were absolutely great touring us through these small towns outside of Shanghai. It was really nice to get out of the city and even better to have an air conditioned vehicle to leave our things between stops! Highlight of the trip was absolutely getting a shell cracked open to pearls where a gentlemen made me 2 sets of earrings, 2 necklaces, 2 rings, and a bracelet (all for roughly $100 usd). Very cool experience, great sights/pics. Would highly recommend when visiting to get out of the city! Would do it all over again with no changes to our itinerary!
