Bahrain

Bahrain is a town located in Swat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, 60 km North of Mingora at an elevation of 4700 ft on the right bank of the Swat river. It is named Bahrain (lit. "two rivers") due to its location at the confluence of the Daral and Swat rivers. It is known for its riverside tourist resorts, local handicrafts, and its view of the merging of the Daral and Swat Rivers. It also serves as a base camp for the trail that leads to the Daral & Saidgai lakes.

Usho (also spelled Ushu) is a village in Usho Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is situated 8 kilometers from Kalam, at the height of 2,300 meters (7,550 feet). It is accessible through a non metalled road from Kalam by jeeps only. Usho is known for its beautiful cloudy and rainy forest. Tourist attraction Mahodand lake is located 27 kilometers (17 mi) from there. In winter, the famous Ushu glacier blocks the only path to the Mahodand lake and this path is only opened again in Summer, when the snow of the glacier melts and the authorities wipe of the remaining snow from the road.

There are numerous streams and water reserves in Swat, which is another area in the north of Pakistan ,rich in natural and mineral resources and a natural habitat for Trout, a cold water fish. Recently ,the local population have started making fish farms adjacent to the water paths, which not only makes these areas more attractive for the tourists but also is an excellent source of economic growth and employment

The Swat River is a perennial river in the northern region of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. The river's source is in the high glacial valleys of the Hindu Kush mountains, where it then flows into the Kalam Valley before forming the spine of the wider Swat Valley.

Swat Museum

The museum contains Gandharan statuettes and friezes depicting the lives of the Buddha along with seals, small reliquaries and other treasures, mostly from Butkara No 1 and Odigram. Additionally, there are pre-Buddhist artefacts, and an ethnographic gallery with traditional carved Swati furniture, jewelry and embroideries.[6] A recent discovery, includes a stone ‘board’ game found at the Buddhist Complex of Amluk-Dara, of a sort still played in the valley today

Mingora City is commonly known as Mingora Bazar is the largest central business hub in Swat Valley. Mingora city is considered a twin city of Saidu Sharif as both are adjacent to each other on 2.6 km (1.6 miles) distance. These twin cities are a special case of two urban areas that were founded in close geographic proximity. Over time, the commercial expansion and the growth of Bazars in both Mingora and Saidu Sharif lead to overlapped into each other losing most of their mutual buffer zone.
