Sydney’s CBD is brimming with history. From stories of Aboriginal leaders and convict uprisings to warring bell towers, gruesome murders, and the construction of historic landmarks, this tour covers it all. Together, we’ll uncover the city’s formation and discuss the lives of its vibrant past residents.

We’ll visit the oldest European buildings in Australia, delve into Sydney’s subterranean secrets, and discuss the city’s most elaborate architecture. Along the way, you’ll hear incredible tales of corruption, fortune, and despair.

We highlight many forgotten sites, stories and myths that have contributed to Sydney's almost unbelievable history.

  • Could Have Listened to Ned All Day

Ned is so easy to listen to and have such a natural flair for telling the stories of Sydney City. A 2 hour tour that honestly could’ve gone all day and you wouldn’t notice the time passing by. Would 100% recommend this tour over others. Anyone can regurgitate information, but it’s how you do it that makes all the difference. Am 100% booking other tours with Ned 🫶🏼

Ned had easter eggs at every stop of the tour! As a church goer, the best stop was saved for last. A great tour.

If you have time and would like to know about Sydney history in the CBD, I would recommend giving it ago. It will give you more insight and overview of the history of sydney. I have done my tour and gained the knowledge of the importance of RUM in the early days of Sydney. Ned , our tour guide, is a cheerful, easy going person with a good detail of history.

I joined this tour last weekend and it was fantastic! Ned is an excellent guide - incredibly knowledgeable and a great storyteller. The two hours flew by as we visited many historic locations around the city. What I especially enjoyed was that he didn’t just show the obvious landmarks. He also pointed out small missed historical details around the city - including things I would have walked past without noticing. Even though I live in Sydney, I learned so many fascinating and surprising stories. Highly recommended for both visitors and locals!
