This tour takes you all over the Opera House. There are back hallways, stairs, theaters, dressing rooms etc. You’ll hear fascinating history about the designing and building of the opera house. You’ll see the sets for current shows, the green room, giant stage lifts for scenery and sets.

A great insight into what happens behind the scenes. A must do for any kean theatre goers. Gives you a fresh view on the hard work needed to pull off a good production.

Excellent in-depth walk through of private behind-the-scenes details and public-facing impressive experiences at all the theatres, including the most famous Opera theatre and Concert theatre. Very impressive and educational. Well worth the money.

We had an incredible Sydney Opera House tour with breakfast, and it was truly a memorable experience. Our guide, Nicolas, was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the Opera House and its inner workings. He took us backstage on several of the stages—and even onto the stages themselves—which felt very special and exclusive. We learned how props enter the Opera House and are moved throughout the building, and we also got to see a dressing room, which gave us a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at how productions come to life. The tour struck a perfect balance between history, architecture, and the day-to-day reality of a working performance venue. The experience was topped off with breakfast in the Green Room, which was absolutely delicious and a wonderful way to relax and reflect on everything we had seen. This tour exceeded our expectations and is a must-do for anyone visiting Sydney, especially if you enjoy seeing how iconic places really function behind the scenes.

Emily was very knowledgeable and kept the tour interesting. Many of the areas don’t allow for photos because of copyright etc, but she made sure we had plenty of opportunity for photos given the restrictions. There are a lot of stairs to climb - not sure of availability of elevators, so someone restricted in movement may want to inquire as to alternatives. We were able to select our breakfast from a menu provided at the beginning of the tour. The food was good as well. I would recommend this tour for others.

The opera house was truly amazing!…and Alan was a charming, excellent host who remembers names like nobody else, and is very attentive to the personalities and needs of his guests. Breakfast could be improved a lot….especially the attitudes of the staff! Not normal “Australia” as we experienced it!
