Bald Hill Lookout & Hang Gliding Spot
Perched high above the coastline at Stanwell Tops, Bald Hill Lookout offers one of the most iconic panoramic vistas in Australia. From this world-famous vantage point, you will enjoy a spectacular bird's-eye view of the Sea Cliff Bridge as it snakes along the rugged Illawarra escarpment. This site is internationally renowned as a premier hang-gliding destination, and you will often see colourful gliders launching into the sea breeze right before your eyes. It also holds a significant place in Australian history as the site where aviation pioneer Lawrence Hargrave first experimented with box kites in the 1890s.
