Enjoy an unforgettable day trip to the Danube Bend, one of Hungary’s most scenic regions. This private tour for 1 to 7 people — perfect for solo travelers, couples, families, or small groups — covers all the must-sees: Visegrád’s medieval castle with panoramic views, Esztergom’s towering basilica, and the colorful old town of Szentendre, plus unique natural and cultural stops along the way.
In Esztergom, explore Hungary’s largest church with its impressive Treasury, and cross into Slovakia for the best views of the basilica and old town.
After Visegrád Castle, step into the Pilis Biosphere Reserve, where creeks, waterfalls, and trout lakes create a peaceful setting — and try local trout or game at a cozy forest restaurant.
In Szentendre, wander cobbled streets lined with galleries and artisan shops, and visit the world-famous Marzipan Museum with its astonishing life-size sweet creations. The schedule allows flexibility with timing, stops, and meals — it’s your day, your pace.

Szentendre
Szentendre is a historic town with cobblestone streets, Baroque architecture, and a lively art scene. Settled by various peoples over the centuries, it became an important center for Serbian refugees in the 17th century, who left behind a distinctive Orthodox heritage. Today, its museums, galleries, and Danube River promenade make it a favorite destination for visitors interested in culture and history.

Tamas was very professional starting out with his communication with me from the time the booking was done. He arrived punctually at the time arranged, was a fount of knowledge on all the sites we visited and the history of Hungary through the medieval times down to the present He was enthusiastic, witty and patient, answering all our questions. I would love to do another tour with Tamas to a different location some other time. He definitely deserves a five star rating.

This was an amazing trip with Tamas and is highly recommended! My wife and I loved the trip, in particular the Visegrad Castle was amazing in how well preserved it is. Szentendre was also an artistic treat, and we were able to see the Esztergom basilica from Slovakia! If you take the tour, the restaurant in Visegrad by the river comes highly recommended by us if you like fresh trout! Highly recommended and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Hungary.

I am writing this review after I had completed a 21 day vacation in Europe. I have taken many tours during these 21 days, and the tour with Tamas was the best. Tamas provided us with an interesting day filled with historical information (as much or as little as we wanted). Tamas was also more attentive to his clients than any other tour guide we hired. He had a variety of snacks and drinks for us, which was not the case on any of our other excursions. I highly recommend Tamas as a tour guide for both his vast knowledge of history and his attention to client comfort.

Wish I could rate this a 6 on a 5 point scale because it is difficult to do justice to this wonderful tour and the consumate gentleman who operates it in a few short sentences. He reworked his schedule to accommodate a change in our itinerary AFTER booking, was prompt and courteous throughout, came prepared with snacks and drinks for the journey, and whisked us around to see four amazing sights in his clean new vehicle. During each segment of the journey he covered a portion of Hungarian history, informing us of over 1000 years of heritage without ever overwhelming us. Suffice it to say that the experience with Tamás was the best tour experience of our three week European vacation from Budapest to Amsterdam.

This was such a fantastic day! We started early & we got to see so much! Tamas our tour guide was so pleasant & sweet & extremely knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our time with him. After our first 2 stops he recommended lunch in a biosphere. It was absolutely incredible. The trout was excellent & so fresh. Our third stop was the cutest little village. We had free time to shop & enjoy. There are so many tours of the Danue, but Tamas really made our time so special. I really cant recommend this tour enough.
