Table Mountain hike is one of the most scenic hikes in Cape Town. The route of Platteklip takes you on a zig zag path up the most direct route that Table Mountain has to offer. It’s a 3 hour hike to the top of the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway and snacks and drinks are included in the cost as well as transport.

What To Expect

Enjoy a complimentary hotel pickup and transfer from your centrally located Cape Town accommodations to the Table Mountain hike. Before hiking, take part in a short safety briefing. Then, you’ll be ready for your 4-hour scenic hike over Cape Town. Departing from the Table Mountain trail, you'll first head to Table Mountain summit to take in the stunning views over Cape Town. After exploring the view over Cape Town, head back toward the starting point. While on the hike, look to take photographs. Other sights during the Table Mountain hike include South African nature. With a live English Speaking guide, get to know the best places on Table Mountain as you enjoy the incredible views. Your professional guide will provide expert commentary along the way. After the completion of your hike, enjoy the worry-free transfer in a courtesy vehicle back to your hotel in Cape Town.

Barry was really great. We did the India Venster route. Some of the super steep bits were a bit challenging, and he was very patient. Would strongly recommend if you’d like to do a less busy walk.

The weather was too poor to do the table mountain sunrise hike so Barry arranged a different hike to Cecilia Waterfall and then around the botanical gardens. Barry picked up myself and another tourist and took us to the hike, then led us along the way at a good pace and told us various things about the nature and history of the area. It was a great morning despite the rain and I will definitely follow Barry's recommendations for future hikes in and around Cape Town!

The hike was great! Barry picked us up right on time - early so we could get up most of the way before it was too hot. The hike was fun and a good workout too. It was worth it when we got to the top.

I booked the tour with my boyfriend in winter time. The guide was super friendly and was flexible about our wishes regarding the time when we would start, as we had to get our plane on the same day. We took the long route, which is clearly recommended!

Enjoyed a great, quiet but tough hike with Barry. He picked us up on time and his guiding skills were exemplary. His pace was too. Got to the top and had a good walk about. Would recommend him again.
