Locally owned and operated, this is not your average food tour. We visit exceptional restaurants and other stops serving superior-quality food. Our guides are some of the most experienced in town. We're different because every tour is unique.
We don't visit the same stops every day, we have better relations with the establishments, and we can also cater to unique requests from our guests. We never use chain restaurants or tourist traps, and we can guarantee you will leave our tour full.
We will also highlight all the other top places to dine in town. After all, you need to eat three times a day, so knowing what and where to eat is essential to an enjoyable vacation. As such, our tour is suitable for everyone. We also accommodate most dietary restrictions, except for vegans.
Don't settle for a food tour that uses chain restaurants and tourist traps serving microwaved food, without care for its guides, guests, or restaurants, and that prioritizes drinks over food. Join us instead.

My husband and I booked a food tour with Skye, and from the moment we met him to the very end, we were thoroughly impressed. Skye has lived in Scotland for quite some time and is incredibly knowledgeable about the area. As we walked around, he shared interesting facts and history about nearly every place we passed, which completely changed how we viewed and understood the surroundings. When it came to the food, the experience was just as exceptional. At each stop, Skye gave us background and fun insights before we ate, and every single dish was outstanding. You can truly tell he’s passionate about what he does. He even took photos of us throughout the tour, which made the experience even more memorable, and went above and beyond by extending the tour to include one last stop that was the perfect ending. I’ve rarely met someone as passionate and engaging as Skye—he made us feel comfortable the entire time, and we walked away learning so much about both Scottish history and cuisine. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone, do yourself a favor and BOOK THE TOUR!

Our Edinburgh Food Tour was fantastic! Skye Class Tours did a wonderful job in selection and was based in part from input they requested prior to the tour. No other tour during our two weeks in Scotland asked much beyond food allergies. Our guide made us feel like we were the only ones on the tour somehow. He also provided us some valuable insight and recommendations around all of our stops throughout Scotland. Great experience!

The tour size is set to be small and personable as possible. They would rather underbook than "go big". Ours was really small so it allowed a lot more interaction with our guide Skye. We had the opportunity to tell the tour what kind of things we liked and that also had an impact on the places selected for our tour.

This was an awesome food tour. We ate amazing food all well-researched and away from the main tourist routes. The food stops were well-paced and Skye was a wealth of knowledge about food and Scotland. This was, by far, the best food tour we have ever taken. This was really well done

Skye gave us the best food tour of the ten we’ve taken so far. He knew and shared the history of area in detail as well as the sourcing, quality, and preparation of the six food stops on the tour. We found him considerate, thoughtful, with a good sense of humor. We highly recommend him.

Our guide, Skye, did an excellent job at keeping the tour moving at a reasonable pace with tastings at six different locations. Our family of four (with two older teens) enjoyed amazing freshly made scones and tea to start, a premium whisky and gin tasting, fresh made fudge, a delightful savory haggis dish and cullen skink soup, followed by a flavorful chicken tikka masala and ended with gelato. Skye walked backwards almost the whole time including down stairs which was entertaining in itself! He shared historical and cultural insights all along the route as well as in depth culinary knowledge of the foods we consumed and their origins. Good portions, high quality dishes, not tourist traps…definitely recommend! Would not recommend for families with younger children.

Fabulous food tour! We sampled award winning scones, sampled whisky and gin, had traditional Scottish dishes of Cullen Skink and haggis, tatties and neeps. Our tour guide, Nichola took us to local, family owned restaurants and pubs. She mixed in history of Scotland and stories of Edinburgh’s growth. We learned about Scottish curry dishes and tasted Chicken Tikki. Our tour finished with gelato. This is the food tour to book for an informative, fun afternoon with Nichola. Enjoy the locally sourced foods served in family run businesses.

A wonderful opportunity to see Old Town, New Town and other little known nooks and crannies, walking and tasting, thru the lens of an authentic Scottish food tour. We enjoyed learning from Nichola very much. A pro-tip: take layers of clothing including a rain-proof layer!

Skye was incredible — so knowledgeable about food & Scottish culture, and a very kind and charismatic tour guide. He really cares about his guests and helping them have a great time (and delicious food!) We learned how to enjoy Scottish drink and food (the history and context of iconic dishes, how to smell different notes in whisky, etc), and this equipped us with the knowledge to enjoy the rest of our Scotland trip (and food selections!) to the fullest.
