Was very pleased with the history and information from the tour guide Dave. I was also happy that even though it was just two of us, they continued the tour and it was intimate. For the price, expected a little more food options and quantity. Do expect to walk a bit around the markets. However it was nice to hear about all the foods and meaning behind them to learn about Taiwan’s rich history.

I was the only one booked but they were great conversationalists and still made it so enjoyable - the time flew by. I loved ending at the night market, and then they walked me to the MTR station!

My husband and I loved this tour. Dave and Corrine were terrific. This was more than just a food tour , it included a bit of history and culture. We had some interesting foods that I may not have tried otherwise. Dave sent us the Chinese characters for the dishes that we liked to make it easy to order them again. The guides were so helpful, they even went into a barbershop with us after the tour and let the barber know what type of haircut my husband wanted. Excellent service and a fun and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this tour!!

Walking through the shopping district with Dave was an educational, gastronomical and spiritual journey. He took us to places that were not your typical Chinese food, but were where the locals eat. Along the way, he spoke about the city, culture and customs. We even went to a temple and he explained how to pray, and what steps to ensure your prayers get heard. Dave is a seasoned, experienced guide. It was first visit to Taiwan for us, and he didn’t sound bored or repetitious, even though he took another group out to the same places the previous day. It was a unique experience and I sampled enough food to be full. Definitely something to do if you’re a foodie. (Note: the photo provided is not one of the foods we sampled).

Good walking tour but somewhat disappointing with the food offerred. None came close to what the food in the website pictures show and only offerred 7 small quantities and selections vs what was advertised 12+. Most of all, serving small portions and still asked to share? What a let down. I suggest going on your own.
