This Totonac city houses the Pyramid of the Niches, a construction considered a World Heritage Site and that will amaze you with its beauty. Then you can observe the Dance of the Flyers of Papantla and visit the Museum of the area to appreciate the daily life of the Totonacas. Following the tour, we will visit Papantla, a magical town in Veracruz.

What To Expect
Museo El Tajin
We will be arriving at the most important ceremonial center of the Totonac towns, the first activities in the area is the tour in the local museum where we will observe the general structure of what was formerly the city of thunder.
El Tajin
We will enter the most important ceremonial center of the Totonaca peoples, the archaeological zone of El Tajín, which combines history, knowledge and beauty in one place. We will admire the pre-colonial buildings in the middle of the jungle, which include a palace, a ceremonial temple and old ball game courts. Marvel at the incredible pyramid of Los Nichos, which is considered an agricultural, civic and solar calendar, due to its 7 levels and 365 niches

5.00We finished only my wife and I with the Guide. He wasted no time taking us to the site in passing if we stopped for drinks and food apart to take pictures. Everything was ready for us until the Guide in Tajin who was also excellent. We'll definitely use them when we get back.

5.00The tour to el tajin was fantastic. Highly recommended for any travelers who want to see an archaeological site that isn’t overtly commercialized. The ruins are well preserved and you get to learn a lot of history that most foreign tourists wouldn’t know about. The tour has a driver/tour guide for the road trip and also a historical specialist guide at el tajin. The historian guide at el tajin (think his name is Jose but not 100% sure) is extremely knowledgeable and is clearly very passionate about the project here. He went into a lot of details far beyond our expectations. Also, his English is very good so English speakers can feel confident asking the most difficult questions. Our driver/guide is Rafael. He is extremely friendly and we had a great trip together. Note that the driver/guide for this company generally Spanish speaking only but this shouldn’t deter non-Spanish speaking folks from taking the tour. We don’t speak a single sentence of Spanish but had no trouble communicating with Rafael via using translation app. Rafael is very patient and accommodating so everything went smoothly. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour.
