We had a wonderful guide who told us many interesting facts about the area. She also explained a lot about local customs. We were the only ones on the tour and she tailored it to my slow pace.

This tour of old Town Takayama took place after dark so many of the shops had closed. Nevertheless our guide went out of his way to explain the long history and culture of this very old area. He was very knowledgeable.

I really enjoyed this tour! Our guide was Miyuki (Mu) and she was super fun and kind! She walked us through the main spots in Takayama, where she explained the history of the city and its traditions. She even gave us advice where to eat local ramen and it was AMAZING. I definitely reccomend it! Thank you very much Mu!

It was an online tour, but the guides were very knowledgeable, the stories were very interesting and I really learned a lot. He seemed to know everything about Takayama.

Even in the famous Hida Takayama area, we were given a tour of Higashiyamaji town, which tourists don't know much about, and a sake brewery. Higashiyamadera-cho has many venerable temples, and it is such a shame that so many tourists don’t know about it. At the brewery, my husband, who loves sake, was overjoyed to be able to observe and taste it. I was very satisfied with walking around the city with a guide giving me careful explanations.
