Skydive amongst mountains, glaciers, lakes, rivers and ocean views. Skydive Franz has New Zealand’s highest mountain Aoraki/Mount Cook and the biggest glaciers Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers immediately on the right and the wide blue ocean on the left. Multiple departure times. Allow 3 hours for your tandem skydive experience.

What To Expect

Nestled between New Zealand’s highest mountains, the Tasman Sea, stunning rainforests, glowing glaciers, mirror lakes and braided river beds, Franz Josef Glacier has been described as one of the most beautiful places to skydive in the world. Tandem skydiving is the fastest, easiest and safest way for an inexperienced skydiver to enjoy the thrill of jumping out of a plane, free falling through the sky at 200kph/120mph and floating safely to the ground under a parachute. You can simply enjoy the thrill of the experience knowing your tandem instructor has everything under control.

What an incredible experience in Franz Josef! Our tour group had originally intended to go skydiving elsewhere later in our trip, but due to perfect weather in Franz Josef, we made a spur of the moment decision to do it that day. The entire process from check in to pick up to the safety briefing was efficient & organized. Thanks to all the crew for making our trip super memorable. A special thanks to Connor from Scotland (my jump buddy) for making me feel incredibly safe on my first jump and keeping us entertained on the plane ride up to altitude (arguably the worst part…the wait before the jump). It was such a positive experience that I’m already looking forward to more skydive opportunities in the future. Pro tip: invest in the hand-cam photo package. Great photos of our jumps and the stunning scenery. If you’ve always wanted to try skydiving, give it a go here—you won’t regret it.

Absolutely amazing experience. So glad I did. Stunning views already from the flight up. Skydive Trilling and tranquil at the same time. Would highly recommend. Well worth it.

Super fun bucket list moment. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Experts were helpful and knowledgeable and kept everyone calm. They knew exactly how to walk the line of having fun and being professional. Plane ride up and jump down were super fun and super scenic.

Heard that Franz Josef has a better view for skydive than Queenstown which is absolutely correct. Drizzling upon arrived in Franz Josef but unable to skydive due to weather condition no good. Went again next day with blessing of good weather. My son did the value price fir 13,000ft and I did for the skydive of 20,000ft. Request for 2 personal photographer but they have only one available. They do have tandem master behind us which makes us fell secured. All the staffs are very friendly and those had a jump from 20k ft will get foc t-shirt. Paid for all the videos and felt worth it as it's a must for once a life time. You get longer time above the air for 20k ft. Will be cold jump from plane but very enjoyable. After the release of parachute, get to glide and have good view. An excellent experience. Assume they are the only company do the skydive.. Do book from them will feeling of assurance and confidence.

It was my first time skydiving, I was very excited, no room for nervousness, until like 2min before jumping, but I was already there, no turning back! lol I have NO regrets, it was the best experience ever, the free fall, the views, the adrenaline when the instructor does acrobacies (if you want to) is incredible! My instructor Callum was really nice and they video turned out great! Thank you all, i'll be back for the highest jump!

Eevery ssssecond of free falling worth it! All the team is super friendly and the jump itself is it INSANE! Definitly a must do in New Zealand :D

We were picked up from the centre of town and taken 15 mins to the jump site in a shuttle bus. The staff were friendly and helpful. We paid extra (quite a lot extra) for photos and videos. Looking back the photos were worth it, not sure about the video. I had a great jump instructor who was pointing out lots of places as we ascended in the plane and made me feel very safe. Would have liked a little longer parachuting down, it felt like they wanted us down as quickly as possible to get the next group up. A great place to jump with views of the ocean, glacier and mountains. If you are on the fence about jumping with these guys I would say go for it.
