What To Expect
Tangier Casbah
Tangier Kasbah (fortress) is a historic fortified citadel built on the highest point of the city, offering panoramic views over Gibraltar strait and the Medina (old city). It was occupied by the Portuguese for 190 years 14-17th centuries, then British for a short time 22 years in 17th century, the Kasbah was one of the most strategic points of Tangier and Morocco. This is where we’ll enjoy all historic walls and alleyways and have some breathtaking photos opportunities.

5.00Our guide, Said Madani, was excellent. He is very well versed in the history of Tangier and kept us informed of the significance of each place we visited and where important events took place. He is friendly, has a wry sense of humor, and seems to know everyone in Tangier. He was able to customize our walking tour and led us to out of the way places when we had a request for something specific (spices!). Highly recommended.

5.00Mohammed was an excellent guide! He took us into the small neighborhoods and alleyways of Tangier. His stories brought the area to life. His knowledge of multiple languages and cultures reflected the vibrant atmosphere. He shared about his own life growing up Tangier, which made our experience even richer. Mohammed is very thoughtful and hired a taxi to take us up to the kasbah as I had developed a problem with my ankle. We highly recommend Mohammed and would tour with him again!

5.00100% recommend booking a guide with Saeed. He planned the tour according to what we wanted to visit and was super flexible with meeting place and time. He started the tour inviting us to breakfast and helped us pick a traditional tangier meal. He took us to so many cool places that we would've never found if we were going by ourselves. He knows a lot about the history of Morocco and the things he tells during the tour are very interesting. We felt super safe and I definitely recommend booking a tour with Saeed.
