What To Expect
Tangier
Upon arrival, or at the exit of your accommodation in Tangier, you will be welcomed by our agent having at your disposal a comfortable, Wi-Fi-fitted air-conditioned, private vehicle. Next, You'll be taken on a 2h30 ride to the blue city of Morocco, through the scenic western Rif Mountains. The trip to Chefchaouen passes through a Jbala region. Thus, it’s quite often to see Jbala women and men with their traditional dresses selling their organic produce and handicrafts. Chefchaouen
Chefchaouen was founded in 1471 as a small Kasbah (fortress) by Moulay Ali Ibn Rashid Al-Alami, a descendant of Abd As-Salam al-Alami and Idris I, and through them, of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Al-Alami founded the city to fight the Portuguese invasions of northern Morocco. Along with the Ghomara tribes of the region, many Moriscos and Jews settled here after the Spanish Reconquista (Inquisition) in medieval times. The city’s blue palette drives its origin from that same era, given that arriving Jewish exiles painted their houses blue to reflect their divinity — a tradition that continued through the centuries. It wasn’t until recently that the blue shades spread out of the Jewish quarter (the Mellah) to the other parts of the Medina (the old town) making it the “blue pearl of Morocco” we know today. 5.00We had a once-in-a-lifetime experience exploring the streets and medina of Chefchaouen. Our driver, Abdul Latif, offered interesting info about Tangier and Morocco as we left the city and made the long drive, with a rest stop at a scenic lake. He drove us to a high point in Chefchaouen where we we met our sprightly city guide, Abdesalem, with energy to spare despite his eighty-four years. He guided us downhill throughout beautiful neighborhoods and paused at every photogenic spot showcasing the emblematic blue walls. Highly recommended.

5.00Excursion during cruise with stopover in Tangier. Highly recommended Perfect organization! Meeting at 8.30 am outside the port, driver with van from 8 nice and professional, Wi-Fi on board the working vehicle. Journey of about 2 hours and 30 'with a stop in half. At Chefchaouen the guide was an old gentleman in age but young in spirit. Very good and city not to be missed! Only fact if I can recommend to the next travelers, do not hesitate to ask to stop, in case, to make purchases! In 3 hours, the Medina turns right. Return at 4.30pm to the port. Recommended for cruise passengers in transit from Tangier or for those already present on site.

5.00Fantastic tour! Perfect trip from pickup to drop off in Tangier. The driver and the guide were personable and informative. The blue city was amazing. Great shops and restaurants. The freshly squeezed pomegranate juice was delicious! Highly recommend.

He treated us not just as tourists, but as friends visiting his hometown. He was flexible with our schedule, made great recommendations, and even helped us navigate the markets with ease. The food stops he suggested were authentic and delicious—some of the best meals of our trip. If you’re visiting Tangier, I cannot recommend him enough. 5.00Our driver was great and our guide in Chefchaouen was over 80 years old but kept up with us. He was dressed in traditional attire and walked with a cane (where we wanted him to photobomb our pictures). He was able to steer us away from the other large tourist groups and knew many great spots for pictures (with us being there without anyone else). He seemed well respected by the community and was able to keep hagglers (if there even was any) away from us. He only gave us basic information but everything else was amazing.

5.00This was a great tour. The city itself is cool with the iconic blue buildings and brilliant mountains. This is an opportunity to see something unique and different. The driver and guide made sure to customize the trip, skipping a stop we didn’t want and ensuring to take us to authentic shops.. The owner even checked in on us during the tour!

5.00Our day trip to Chefchaouen was amazing! The drive to and from was very comfortable, and our driver Abdul made scenic stops along the way. He was super thoughtful in making sure we saw everything we wanted to prior to leaving. Our local tour guide was 83 years old and so kind, knowledgeable, and funny. He moved around the city with ease and seemed to know everyone! Highly recommend this experience!
