Lynsey, owner, and creator of La Rosilla and passionate ‘Foodie’ will be waiting to welcome you to her unique home in the mountains of Malaga. Lynsey will share her in-depth knowledge of local cuisine, ingredients, customs and folklore.

Sharing anecdotes, cultures, customs and in-depth knowledge on all things Andalucian especially food and drink.

Together your private group will create 4-5 delicious tapas, enjoy Sherry, wine and olive oil tastings, and will be sent recipes to re-create the dishes at home.

What To Expect

A Tapas & Sherry Cooking experience day with La Rosilla is fabulous gourmet treat and is a perfect way to immerse yourself in true Andalucian flavours and history. This hands-on, fun and informative day, takes you on a journey of tapas of all tastes with Sherry wines and Malaga wines of this abundant area that compliment each dish. Sharing our passion of being a ‘Sherry Lover’ and part of the rennasiance sherry movement, this day celebrates, the slow-food, locally grown, movement. Step off the beaten track, enjoy a day in the mountains, where ‘Foodies’ unite. Come, cook, eat, sip and share with friends around our table. The day will start the day at La Rosilla at 12 am. Lynsey will be waiting to welcome you, refreshments &, local sweet treats whilst taking in the view on the stunning terrace. Together we will create a great variety of tapas, alfresco and in the La Rosilla kitchen. We will taste local and home-grown ingredients, enjoy Olive Oil tastings. The tapas we create will be enjoyed alfresco weather permitting or by the log fire if need be. Each tapa will be paired perfectly with a Sherry or Malaga wine, and Sherry history and tastings will be given.

Together with my girlfriend booked a cooking course with Lynsey. What a great experience. We were very hospitable received by Lynsey. Then we made a few beautiful dishes under the watchful eye of the chef herself with the tastiest fresh ingredients. All recipes were a feast for the eyes and tasted delicious! Her house is a picture with a fantastic view 😍. Really a great experience to go through. We will be back for the Paella cooking class 😉. Thank you so much for the nice afternoon! Liefs Kim & Simone

We booked La Rosilla for my friends hen do in Malaga and it was amazing! Lynsey came to our villa where she served up a proper Spanish homemade feast and a wine pairing to match. The food was so fresh and watching the paella being cooked outside was the highlight of the meal. Would totally recommend this to anyone looking to experience authentic Spanish food in Malaga. We all loved and the experience made our holiday so much more special. Lynsey was also so lovely and explained everything fully, a great chef and hostess!

What a fantastic day! Short drive from Malaga in a beautiful mountain setting with stunning views. The house is quant, charming and very welcoming. Lynsey is the perfect host; friendly, funny, knowledgeable and an excellent cook. We used all natural ingredients grown on there property or locally sourced. The food, sherry, wine and desert were very tasty and plentiful. We'll be talking about this experience for years to come!

This was so much more than a class…it was an experience, beginning with the warmth and hospitality offered by Lynsey and Alan in their beautiful home and setting. Lessons, conversations, and many delicious courses unfolded throughout the afternoon with an incredible feast on the patio. The view, geography, cuisine, and company were all a great part of getting to know the region. Thank you!

We had a wonderful day under the more than excellent guidance of Lynsey, who guided us in making delicious tapas and Paella, accompanied by delicious sherry and wines. The fantastic view really appealed to our group of friends. This is an absolute must!

Lindsey was a gracious host who shared her knowledge of the food and tapas of Spain and of course sherry. Her attention to detail along with the peaceful setting of her home was exceptional. I felt like I was visiting a long-lost friend and it was a great escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Malaga. I would highly recommend La Rosilla to anyone looking to recreate the food of Spain and leave feeling satisfied with your day.

From the beautiful scenery on the back road drive to Lynsey's home, to her warm personality, this was the highlight of our trip. Lynsey shared info and tips about local ingredients, and information about the culture and history of Andalucia. The food was fabulous, and we are excited to try to re-create it at home.
