Over the years, the Romans, Moors, and Medieval Christians influenced the city. On this walking tour, I’ll point out where they left their mark in Tarragona’s Old Town. I’ll show you some of the numerous UNESCO World Heritage sites they left behind and talk about some of the events that shaped them.
But this tour isn't all about Rome. Most of what you’ll see on your way to Mercat de Tarragona was built in Medieval times. You’ll be amazed at how parts of the town still look and feel like a village from the Middle Ages.

1.00This tour may have worked for others but not for us. Maybe it was the narrow streets affecting GPS but we spent way too much time trying to recover from when the app thought we were lost when we were not lost. A frustrating experience that we finally just turned off

5.00Really good and helpful tour. The guidance is clear and it’s easy to go back of you’re a bit off track (which is easily done in the narrow streets). Narration is friendly, light and informative. I would prefer it a bit more detailed but there were some nice titbits of info. Very good for anybody who likes to enjoy the views at their own pace.
Really stunning coastal small city without the feeling of a ‘resort’. Beautiful beaches; lots of history and authentic.

5.00A really entertaining and interesting audio tour. John was an engaging host and managed to cram a decent amount of history into the tour, without making it overwhelming (or boring) for the listener. He used a good percentage of humour - he didn’t make it about him and helped you envisage Tarragona as Tarraco. Highly recommend.
