This is your opportunity to do something different and experience an undiscovered part of Spain! Awaken your senses to the sights of the stunning scenery and old rustic villages, the smells of the wild herbs & flowers, hear the wildlife and insects and taste the award winning wines. Your guide will entertain you with stories of this regions, rich history and culture and make it a day to remember!

After your pick up we will drive you up into the mountains. From there you will start - after a brief safety lesson and trial run - your decent on safe and quite tarmarc roads through the fantastic mountains of the Costa Dorada. You will also cycle through one of the family's wineyard where you learn about the growing and harvesting process. The cycling concludes in an old tradional village where we will visit the over 350 year old winery where we also meet the owners. They will explain to you their tradtional wine making process and let you taste 2 of their amazing and award winning wines.

What To Expect

After a short 25 mins drive from the coastal resorts, we arrive in the beautiful Montsant area of the region. Here we will unload the bikes and begin our 13km downhill bike glide on safe, quiet tarmac roads. You will glide through rustic villages and enjoy fabulous scenery in this undiscovered area of Spain. We will finish at a family owned vineyard where they will show you how they make their wine . Get the bike buzz... then enjoy the wine buzz..

Just back from a wonderful morning exploring the local area with knowledgeable guides Manfred and Katherine. Amazing scenery while you coast downhill through the mountains as Manfred explains the local area and its historic past. Katherine was on hand to ensure we had all we needed throughout and added her knowledge of the local forna and flora (ably assisted by the locals). The family run vineyards and winery are beautiful and the experience is so personal on every level. Looking forward to enjoying our lovely bottle this evening, just a shame we couldn’t take more home. All in all a wonderful experience which we would highly recommend. Reilly and Kate xx

We had a fabulous time on th Grape Escape. Booking was easy with good communication. Lots of entertaining info on the trip up. Good safety checks. The scenery was stunning. The wine tasting delicious 😋 . A brilliant trip out.

Super fun and educational. Great way to see the countryside and a tiny village and winery. Wonderful farm views. Biking was under your control so for me not too fast, and minimal uphill. Authentic family winery with tasting of 2 good wines. Opportunity to purchase pictures of the day as well as wines. Highly recommend.

A super experience from beginning to end! Kathryn and Manfred are excellent hosts, very friendly and welcoming. The safety and instruction information was great and the whole experience was very well organised. The cycling was a joy - the countryside is stunning and I'm so glad I got to to see some of the 'real' Spain beyond the coast. The visit to the vineyard was very informative and we saw the plant in action as it was the harvesting period during our visit. I would certainly book this experience again and I highly recommend it.

A great day out in the mountains and good to see the beautiful town of Porrera. The cycling was very easy and we could have tried more than just two wines but generally a good day. The guides were excellent and very knowledgeable.

Just got back from a fantastic morning with Manfred and Kathrin. They really are excellent hosts who made the trip so enjoyable for us. Everything is extremely well organised from start to finish, the scenery was fantastic and our visit to the winery was most memorable (excellent wine too!) Would like to thank you both for a great experience - would highly recommend!

hi all . Katherine and the team made this a very enjoyable and pleasant experience . i would highly recommend this to any one who is thinking of doing this . you are very safe on the bikes , the views you get , while cycling ( free wheeling ) down the mountains are not to be missed . the wine tasting is very good and their knowledge of the local vineyard is excellent . its a great day out from hanging around the pool . i hope to do again the next time , i am over in salou.

We had a great time with Katherine and Manfred from the moment they picked us up from our hotel. They were super knowledgable about the area and an absolute blast to speak with. The cycling was a lot of fun and a great way to see the lesser travelled mountain region of Catalonia. The vineyard itself was wonderful and finding out about how they make their wine was fascinating. The wine itself was delicious so of course we couldn’t help but buy a bottle to take home for a special occasion. Definitely recommend to anyone from couples, families or groups. 10/10
