5.00This was the first time in Banff for me and my partner. It was also the first thing we did in town after dropping off our bags at the hotel. The best metric for how good a food tour is, in my opinion, is how comfortable we feel navigating the food scene in the town, and the town as a whole, following the experience. For sure, Joanna was wonderful, picked some great spots for our tour group, and was very knowledgeable about the area. That stated, afterwards, I felt like I could casually walk around downtown Banff and pick restaurants (and this city has an amazing food scene). No Yelp needed, no hotel recommendations: just our knowledge obtained from Joanna. 10 out of 10. I would definitely recommend.

Joanna provided historical insights between each stop which provided cultural context and brought everything to life in such an engaging and entertaining way. The food itself was outstanding — and definitely more than just “little bites.” We enjoyed generous tastings at every stop, with a perfect balance of sweet and savoury dishes. Each location offered something unique, and the drinks throughout were thoughtfully paired and plentiful. What really set this tour apart was how interactive and lively it felt. It wasn’t just about eating — it was about connecting with the history, the people, and the atmosphere of each place we visited. The guide made everyone feel involved, creating such a fun and welcoming vibe. If you’re considering booking — do it. I truly cannot recommend this enough. It’s an absolute must-do and easily one of the best experiences we’ve had in Banff!

5.00We had a great time walking around Banff and trying treats and different spots. Our guide did a great job of mixing savory, sweet and drinks. We left with hands full of leftover and our bellies full. It was a great way to wrap up our vacation. We were even able to grab some food souvenirs to bring home and share with friends.

5.00Jo combined stories, history and good food on this excellent food tour. We had a good taste of Canada. Our favorite was the vinegar and oil tasting, but everything was interesting and tasty, from poutine to tea to pure grade A maple syrup to yummy chicken wings to chocolate to maple fudge, dinner after our late afternoon tour was not necessary. We got to orient ourselves to Banff in the process. You will love the food and your guide.
