Borneo Flavors Class is more than meets the eye. You will get an intimate experience with local culture, local markets, and of course, local food during this unique cooking class. The cooking class is hosted by a lovely family who open their doors and invite you into their home for a unique insight into a local Sabah culture. This cooking class features a guided market tour, personal interaction with your local hosts, and hands-on learning to prepare a Sabah favorite meal.

What To Expect

9:30 AM: Hotel pick-up and transfer to the local market 10:00 AM: Market tour and ingredient familiarization 10:30 AM: Departure from the market and transfer to the host's home (approximately 20-minute drive) 11:00 AM: Arrival at the host's home and welcome refreshments 11:15 AM: Cooking class with the host's mother Preparation of two traditional dishes: chicken rendang or likku (local recipe) and a local vegetable dish Hands-on cooking experience with expert guidance 1:00 PM: Enjoy a delightful lunch together, featuring the dishes prepared during the cooking class, along with additional menu items, coffee/tea, and dessert 2:00 PM: Departure from the host's home and transfer back to the hotel (estimated arrival time: 2:30 PM)
