We had a great time on this tour! We tried a lot of unique food from local establishments and even spoke to a few owners. Everyone was super friendly and you could tell the first place we went to was big with the locals because there was a line out the door of people grabbing food before work. Just to clear up some confusion we had, the trolley in the description is basically an open air bus that would drive us around from location to location (I attached an example photo). We felt like we really went all over the entire island! There was no a lot of walking but getting onto the bus is some big steps. The tour started at 8am but pretty soon you lost track of time. Don't eat breakfast. There's plenty of food between all of the stops.

This is single handed one of the BEST excursions we’ve booked. John and Marsha with Hike BVI were knowledgeable and attentive and super friendly! All of the local spots we visited were ran by amazing locals and they welcomed us with open arms to their Tortla establishments and treated us like family. We sampled turkey and salt fish patties, fresh from the tree cottage mangos, kingfish and fungi, mauby, fried chicken, chicken roti with mango chutney, passion fruit juice, brisket and strawberry lemonade, and gelato! Whew, we went back to the shop with our hearts and our bellies full!! Do not skip of this excursion while visiting Tortola.

Cloe was so sweet and really worked hard to make sure we had a great day. We stopped at 6 different stops and ate our way through Tortola. I love that the places were local favorites and not just touristy type stops. The food was awesome and we will definitely do again when we come back!!

We very much enjoyed this tour. It gave us a chance to visit a variety of restaurants that would have been difficult to do since we did not have a car. Each restaurant had unique character and we got to taste local favorites. We often got the opportunity to meet the owners or chefs. In addition to the restaurants, our guide gave us a tour through Road Town, took us to a scenic lookout, and shared the history of the islands. Our guide grew up in Tortola and was able to answer our questions about life on Tortola. We did not have any dietary constraints. If you do, be sure to let your guide know at the start.
