What To Expect
Sip your way through Waiheke's top venues, with the all-inclusive Taste of Waiheke food and wine tour. Enjoy an olive oil tasting at Allpress Olive Groves, followed by a two-course lunch and a wine tasting at Batch Winery. Head up to Cable Bay Vineyards for a tasting and finally wind your way back to your last stop with a wine tasting at Mudbrick Vineyard. Return ferry tickets on the Waiheke Walk-Up or Waiheke Reserve ferry are included.

5.00Nicola was fabulous! This was such a fun excursion absolutely worth every penny. I had no idea about this island - the trip alone to visit is worth it. And then trying delicious wine, olive oil, and have a delicious lunch was icing on the cake. This is a great excursion (even with some rain) to spend a day

3.00Guide and tour were great but coordination and communications for the tour were horrible. The listing doesn't say that the ferry fare is included or where to meet the guide. The fare IS included, and you don't meet the guide until you get off the ferry in Waiheke. Several people on the tour either paid separately for the ferry, took the wrong one or missed it entirely looking for the guide in Auckland.
Worth it with additional contact with the tour provider before going!

3.00Please contact this operator before the tour to receive detailed information about the gathering location. It is not automatically provided clearly. The locations visited were lovely and the itinerary was good except for the two course meal where everyone preordered food for a group of 15 people and four orders were incorrect where four people had to wait until less than 15 minutes before departure to receive their entrees. Food was great. Just poor coordination with the winery/food vendor with follow through lacking.

5.00Terrific day on this tour. Olive tasting was a highlight, such a beautiful island. Lunch was awesome. We had a group of 9 and that was perfect. Air con bus, driver had in depth knowledge of the island. Tip- you must visit the " Ferry Ticket" building prior to getting on the ferry to get ferry tickets printed. Your guide meets you on the island, not the auckland terminal. Very worthwhile.

5.00A wonderful day of wine tasting and food! The one caveat is the start of the day - the Auckland quay is a big place to meet and it wasn’t clear where to meet, what line for the ferry to get into, or that we would be met after the ferry over. Better information on the start of the tour needed. One member of the trip didn’t make it, potentially because of this. The operator needs to do better at the start.

5.00Absolutely awesome day. Our bus driver and guide, Victor, was so easy going, had a great personality, and shared ample information about the island He made our day. His set of final tunes for the day was fitting. All stops were very nice. The views on the island … breathtaking! The olive oil tasting at Allpress Olive Groves was informative and tasty. Lunch at Batch Winery was excellent. The mushroom pate was outstanding! We particularly enjoyed the wines at Mudbrick. What an impressive property!

4.00The meeting point at the Quay was not clear. You have to go to the Ferry Depot to get your tickets, but that was not crystal clear. I was grateful I could speak to English speaking locals to help guide us to to what we needed to do. Our guide Kai made up for the lack of uncertainty at the start of our day. She was super informative, always aware of the timing, and adjusted our day based on that timing. We enjoyed the wineries. Our favourite was the Mudbrick Winery. Lunch was tasty -- the salmon and the Scotch steak were good choices.
