This is a foodie immersion in real, ordinary San Sebastian to get a real sense of community, understand how locals live and eat as you learn about local history and culture.
With every person that joins the tour, we help a person in need by donating a meal to the city's soup kitchen, you eat one you feed one!
It's a 3h walking tour, where there's mostly eating and less than 10 mins-walk between each stop. We’ll go to 5 specially selected stops within two different neighbourhoods.
You'll indulge and learn all about the unique culinary tradition of going out for pintxos! Pintxos pronounced 'pin-choss', these are different from tapas and imbedded in Basque culture. We're going to show you how to navigate the local food scene and eat the best that this city has to offer.
This experience is the kind of tour for people who hate the word 'tour' and genuinely travel for food and really want to get immersed in the culture and have fun.

What‘s Included
Five food stops with one pintxo (local Basque food) and one drink in each place (local drinks and wine).
The tour is designed so you have a full meal, but if you have a larger appetite you can choose to purchase extra food and drink if you'd like.

5.00Cristina was an amazing guide and very knowledgeable both with respect to every aspect relating to food and drink but also the overall culture and history of the region. She selected a great variety of pintxos from a diverse range of places, accommodated all our preferences and went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience for us. We would've kept her for another three hours if we could. The social component that her 'eat one feed one' concept also gives back to the community is the cherry on top.

5.00We were 10 people that had a fantastic guided tour with Cristina. Our tour guide was a very good company, and had a perfect mix of information and great food and good local wine. Really recommend this as a start for your San Sebastian experience. It really helped us for the rest of our holiday to chose the best Pintxos places!

5.00This is a must do if going to San Sebastián and wishing to indulge in Pintxos culture. We were lead by Lily who was phenomenal!!! We went to 5 places and got the best of the best. She talked about the historical start of Pintxos, toured us through the Centro and Old Town. Answered all our questions and made us comfortable to go out the next day to do our own Pintxos tour. She sent us recommendations after too! It was the best money well spent!

5.00Sam was our tour guide and we have only positives to say. He was passionate about Basque culture and history, his knowledge about the food and wine was superb. He made us feel very comfortable and welcome, even in the crowded Old Town bars. Part of why we chose this tour group was the smaller group size and we were very lucky to have Sam’s full attention. We couldn’t recommend more highly.

5.00We had a fantastic tour with Mai. It was such a great idea to have it on our first night - Mai taught us what to eat, where, and how yo order. She gave us a cultural tour on the way and tailored it totally to our wishes. We became the expert pinxcho hunters after the tour :) Evven after the tour Mai was available to reach out for questions/recomendations, she gave us a great recommendation for the seafood restaurant, that we went twice in our short stay - it was so good.

5.00Highly recommend this tour as you get a real insight into the history and food in the old town. The stops, food and refreshments were all top class and we were full at the end of the tour. Our guide Sam was brilliant! We had to change our tour last minute and they were super helpful.
