On the way to the wine-tasting room, discover one of the city's famous traboules, the hidden passageways that connect parallel streets through historic buildings.
Step into a beautiful apartment in the heart of Vieux Lyon and enjoy a unique wine tasting experience. As you settle in, your sommelier will introduce the wine regions surrounding Lyon and guide you through an authentic tasting journey featuring regional wines paired with some of the city's most iconic specialties.
Over the next 2 hours, discover six wines from the renowned wine regions surrounding Lyon, including the Côtes du Rhône, Beaujolais, Mâconnais and Burgundy. As you taste each wine, your sommelier will introduce the grape varieties, terroirs and traditions that make these regions so distinctive.
Each wine is paired with a selection of Lyon's iconic specialties, including St-Marcellin cheese, Lyon-style charcuterie, artisanal chocolates and the city's famous praline treats.
The experience concludes at 1:00 p.m.

What To Expect
Taste the wines of Lyon in an intimate Old Town apartment and discover the wine heritage of Beaujolais, Côtes du Rhône, Burgundy and Mâconnais. Enjoy a 2-hour tasting led by a sommelier, featuring carefully selected wines paired with authentic Lyon specialties. A must-do introduction to Lyon's wine, food and culture.

5.00Olivier was a great guide through old Lyon and the secret passageways. Then he proved to be an exceptional wine expert and poured 6-7 excellent small batch wines, accompanied by the perfect tasting menu. It was a wonderful experience!!

5.00Valentin was a wonderful guide, for both the walking tour and the wine tasting. We learned about the history and architecture of the city, then took a different tour of wines from the area. Informative and delicious! The plate of small bites to pair with the wines were also exceptional, both in flavor and variety.

5.00We had an excellent tour led by Valentin. The weather was questionable thar day and he had umbrellas at the ready for us. We enjoyed a walking tour covering some of the sights of the area, and he was happy to answer our many questions both about historical parts of the city and contemporary life and developments within Lyon. We finished with an excellent assortment of wine and insights into how the industry works in France. Everything was very accommodating, at a good pace, and nothing felt rushed. I do recommend.

5.00This was a spectacular adventure and our favorite tour/activity we've done on our trip to France. The guide and sommelier were friendly and informative. We got lucky and it was just my husband and I- very special. We would both highly recommend, even if you have limited time! When it ended up dumping rain/thunderstorming as we were leaving, they escorted us to the Metro which was a huge help. Thank you!

5.00We loved our tour and tasting with Marie! She was incredibly knowledgable about both Lyon’s history and all the wine of the region and was able to answer any questions we had. We really loved how personable and fun she was! We were just a small group of 4 friends and she made sure we had a great time. She checked in on us before and throughout the tour to make sure she was spending time discussing things we were interested in, and shared her own personal experiences working with and studying wine with us. We loved her! The wine was amazing, the snacks included were delicious, and we loved that Marie told us which snack to pair with which wine. Even the apartment where the tasting took place was beautiful, with comfortable seating and a very clean bathroom. Highly recommend, a great way to spend a half-day in Lyon. And next time we’re in the region would love to do one of the longer trips!

5.00We had a very nice tour through old town with Olivier and Marie. After the interesting tour we had wine tasting in an old apartment in Old town. We had local wines and they were all great and we got a lot of information about each wine and what cheese and other foods goes with it. Overall, a great tour!

5.00We spent a sublime morning exploring Old Lyon guided by Olivier. He introduced us to hidden passages and some historical anecdotes about the city. After this short walk, we tasted different wines accompanied by cheeses and cold cuts in an apartment with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The wines were delicious and the comments made on each were very rewarding. I recommend this activity for those looking to discover some traboules of Old Lyon and spend a friendly time!
