The citadel of Guermassa originally housed a rural mountain society. The people who built this type of fortified villages (ksour) in the region are called Jbaliya (People of the mountain). The ksar allowed the Berbers to maintain themselves while establishing customer and protection relationships with the Arab tribes, who arrived in the 11th century with the Hilalian invasions. It is built at the top of the mountain to fulfill several functions: Military, ksar citadel fortress, it protects the village serving as a place of refuge against enemies, observation site in all directions from the village difficult to access. These collective granaries for the use of one or more tribes, it makes it possible to preserve or store in the ghorfas the different crops, wheat, dates, olive oil, etc., over the years. Unprecedented experience with Lassaad and Ahmed, who made us live magical moments! Discovery of the country, customs and various villages, with incredible encounters. We took a lot of eyes, we enriched ourselves culturally, and the moment to leave Ahmed and Lassaad was difficult: they became real friends that we will come back with great pleasure. A huge thank you to GSA Voyage for your work and the quality of your services. You're amazing! Ludo , Violaine and the children

Very good day in the desert. We were not in 4x4 but in privatized microbus. It was a very nice day. Many thanks to Marmoud, our guide, and Ichem, our driver. We were with a 5 year old and they were very attentive with the whole group and vigilant with the little one. Very good explanations, very nice visits. The meal was also very good. We highly recommend!!
