Our Night Sky Star Safari is a comprehensive stargazing activity for all. Including a meal at an authentic Canarian restaurant on our way up the mountain and also stopping for an amazing sunset from above the Sea of Clouds, our activity is your introduction to the night sky, stars and the Universe. It includes the guided use of telescopes for night sky observation of visible planets, the Moon, stars, galaxies & more. Join us as we take a safari trek across the night sky with our lasers using constellations and detailed explanations of the science and mythology by expert astronomy guides. While in Tenerife, these astronomy tours are an ideal excursion for holiday makers, taking advantage of Tenerife being one of the best locations in the world for both professional and amateur astronomy. Our aim is that you have fun observing the sky and making it easy for you. We hope to give you as many WOW moments as possible!

What To Expect

Los Cristianos

Our Pick Ups are from the South Zone only. We have a few stops at hotels picking up and then Drive straight to our first stop, the restaurant!

We stop after pick ups and a short drive, at one of the local Canarian restaurants. Here you have a light meal and drinks and get to converse with the other travellers on the trip. It's a great way to meet new people with a similar interest as you. The menu is... Pork steak from the restaurants own farm and BBQ Chicken with Canarian Pots & salad, to finish a cake. Both meals include your first drink and water Wine and soft drinks are on table as well. (Vegetarian and Vegan Options available any day, also we can cater for Coeliacs) Canarian food is simple but tasty, get an insight into the traditional canarian diet!

What an amazing night Something different to do and we both enjoyed it ,, picked up then for a meal then up mountain for views to die for the a stop for coffee then telescopes to see the stars close up amazing Photos were taken but didn’t cost you a penny all included Definitely give it a try you won’t be disappointed We booked with first excursions in Los christinos And they did pick up at our hotel Mary Lanza suite

Seeing the sunset and stars in the mountains of Tenerife is an absolutely unmissable experience. This operator is professional and experienced, with clear and reliable communication as well as deep knowledge about the night sky. However, it is simply too many people. We ultimately spent two hours of the stargazing portion to see three things through the telescope, which is not an enjoyable experience standing in the cold of the desert on the side of the highway. The experience description says it will be 50 people, but our group was 70. All said, we would certainly do this experience again, but in a small or private group.

Well organised, great communication, Picked up in comfortable coach, Craig knows his stuff about the Island, tasty lunch, basic but very tasty, We had to go slightly higher and further round Teidi to get above cloud so missed the sunset, but the colours changing on the horizon more than made up for it. The star gazing part was amazing, the images through the telescopes were striking, but my favourite part was looking at the Universe and it's vastness ( you more than likely haven't seen it so clear) while listening to Kierans obvious enthusiasm and knowledge was WOW. Would do it again.. Just wrap up warm, although coats and hot chocolate are supplied.

Highly recommend this excursion! We had a wonderful time. Comfy pick up and drop off from outside the hotel. All staff v friendly and knowledgeable! You can tell this is their passion as it really shows. Really interesting information shared. Dinner was lovely, some people were not happy that it was "basic", it was very delicious and well cooked, very tasty! The night sky above Teide was stunning, amazing to see the sky so dark! Telescopes were impressive, very cool to see a whole other galaxy - mind blowing when you think of the size and distance! We had an amazing time and would definitely do it again and recommend to anyone coming to Tenerife! Especially if you are interested in the night skies but like us, it is hard to find places with low light pollution at home! Thank you !

After we were picked up at the hotel, Craig already gave a super relaxed introduction on the bus. The telescopes then provided detailed explanations in several languages. Overall a really cool event with some surprises.

Superb. Well organised and great communications pre event , even arranged a special pick up point for us. We chased the sunset and it was so worth it. What a phenomenon. We were well looked after with cava and hot chocolate. And lots of commentary on the stars. Great team. Thank you.
